WWE.com announced that John Laurinaitis submitted his resignation for his position as Senior Vice President of Talent Operations, effective immediately. According to the article, Laurinaitis is "burned out," but will continue working with the company as a producer putting together matches.

We've been reporting that Laurinaitis' real-life power behind-the-scenes was weakening, and Triple H had his people running most aspects of WWE's talent relations department. According to The Wrestling Observer newsletter, Triple H has not been a big proponent of Laurinaitis, which led to his reduced role in the department.

I am seriously considering skipping this week for the Olympics. But maybe I will switch back and forth, I am curious to see the opening of the show at least - will it be a clip show with promos like usual or will it be a promo show w/ clips because of the fire? It's a mystery!!

We are still working on details, but a number of local fire departments have been called to the site of tonight's Raw in Cincinnati, Ohio, The U.S. Bank Arena.

Several sources have confirmed that a pyrotechnic accident led to a fire on the Raw stage. No one was injured in the accident, which was described by one person as an "awesome, loud, frightening moment."
