The show hasn't been bad. A lot of the talent is giving 110%, it's just the writing the have to work with is shitty.
And yeah, half the fun is being able to hang with a few virtual friends and trade jokes and ponies. Without that, it's not nearly as good. I come here because it's funnier.

Being on Mountain Standard Time (since AZ doesn't do daylight savings), I just take the attitude of "if anything happens worth watching, I'll see it on NBC that night or I can watch the streams." For example, I'm going to go watch the US women's water polo match from earlier right now. Anyway, the streams are worth a laugh sometimes. Watch the 1st 20-30 minutes of the men's cycling road race from Saturday. At one point, you'll see a bunch of riders pull off towards some hedges. They didn't have bike issues, that's all I'll tell you. |

About 15 years ago, I had a contract as the Mac guru at Mary Kay Cosmetics. While my contract was in effect, MKC decided to change IT service providers from a company called CompuCom to EDS. As a result, I was called in to the EDS offices in Plano to discuss if I would remain independent or if I would go to work for EDS.
So, I show up for the meeting in a nice slacks suit and silk blouse. I am asked about the terms of my existing contract, because EDS did not get a copy of it. I explained my contract was with Richmont Enterprises, at that time the parent of MKC. I also explained what my fee was - $150 an hour, 2 hour minimum, 1099-MISC with a penalty clause.
The EDS guy sat across the desk. "Well, if you want to continue under the EDS contract, you'll have to wear a skirt and heels. We will bill at your existing rate and we will pay you $25 an hour, 1 hour minimum. Now, what is the penalty clause?"
"The penalty goes into effect the moment anyone questions how I am attired. I don't do skirts, I don't do heels, I don't do pantyhose and I'm not about to do business with the likes of y'all if you continue with that attitude."

My judgment based on what I read here and at the mainland is that Raw wasn't the shit stew it was last week, but one episode does not a OH MY GOD VERBALTOXIN HAS COME CRAWLING BACK!! make. I'll watch Impact this week and maybe catch the most recent NWA Hollywood before I leave for Oregon next week.
