3 hrs and what do we take.....
Brian is in a forced fued with Kane.. - Nothing
Triple Threat Match.....
And... uh... Well there was wrestling but... In 3 hours they developed one entire storyline.. It's like the exact opposite of TNA lately trying to cram in too much storyline.
But I'd rather have too much then nearly nothing.. And it's not like the WWE wrestling is any good.. It's the same tired matches..

Smiths: Creationist Ape: 30% of the 3 hour Raw was dedicated to actual wrestling.
not horrid but when you then take into account that's less than 1 hour of a 3 hour show. it hurts my peepee
Well stop trying to fuck the TV and your peepee wont hurt! Geez you just bought it for chrissakes!! /the doctor said my nose wouldn't bleed so much if I kept my finger outta there.

I know I'm in the minority here, and it may just be because I missed the first hour, but I enjoyed it. Not a great show, but a solid step forward from the complete and utter tripe they've been putting out.

i think the key is missing the first hour.
remember 3 hour nitro? only way to enjoy it was make it a "2 hour nitro with replays of some stuff from earlier"
HOW THE FUCK DO I TURN OFF APPLE TV
It amuses me that you can do all kinds of amazing things with a computer, except turn it off. LMFAO

It was like me and two other guys in the rec room watching the first hour of Nitro (and even I would only show for it occasionally), and then everybody else would flood in at 9 and we'd switch to Raw. Considering how dreadful Nitro's hour 1 was, I had no problem with this.

I knew AW having an open mic was a bad idea. But I didn't think it would be THIS bad.
As you can imagine, there is major backstage heat on AW (Abraham Washington) for his comments regarding Kobe Bryant and his rape case from Colorado.
During Monday's live WWE RAW broadcast, A.W. made an off-color remark referencing NBA player Kobe Bryant's sexual assault case in 2003 and 2004.
As client Titus O'Neil tangled with Kofi Kingston in a singles match, A.W. yelled from ringside, "Titus O'Neil is like Kobe Bryant at a hotel in Colorado hotel room. He's unstoppable!!"
Following the commercial break, WWE broadcaster Michael Cole issued an apology on behalf of the organization for A.W.'s remark. He then quickly transitioned to a replay of a backstage segment featuring John Cena and CM Punk that took moments prior.
In 2003, Bryant was accused of sexual assault after having sex with a hotel employee in Colorado. In September 2004, prosecutors dropped the case after his accuser refused to testify. A civil suit was later filed and settled out of court.
There are many who feel a release or suspension is forthcoming, especially since WWE apologized for the remarks upon returning from break. This is similar to the Chris Jericho flag incident where the company knew they had to take some sort of disciplinary action. This is also obviously not good for Linda McMahon's senate run.
In addition to that, Vince McMahon was not in a good mood at RAW due to the chaos that ensued just before RAW went live.

I'm really digging AW's character; he's like a modern Jimmy Hart, with the live mic in place of the megaphone and all. I remember when it was a heel's job to offend the crowd...

Do you remember the good old days when Vince ENCOURAGED disparaging remarks about current pop culture controversies? I mean he banked off that shit for nearly a decade.. Now a comment so lame that I didn't even know it was said until I read a post about it on a forum has sand in Vinces vag. Jumping Jesus on a fucking pogo stick ( Everybody knows that a burrow owl lives in a hole in the ground!) Vince is awful.

Vince wouldn't give half a fuck about respectability if Linda hadn't spent the last four years chasing a Senate seat she'll never get. Connecticut is not going to put the carny's wife in that seat, not even if the Democrat running in opposition raped a goat on live TV.
Vince hates Hollywood. He hates it because it won't accept him for being the carny trash he is, and he can't control the narrative. Real fame brings people who pick at you and want to watch you fall, and Vince can't deal with that kind of harassment. Few can. He has an ego but it's not movie star or producer level ego. He's a small time, old school wrestling promoter who made good, conquered his business and didn't know what to do next. He's the dog who chased the car and caught it. He doesn't know what to do. There are no mountains to climb anymore. Not in wrestling. He has to make up new ones, but he can't even get a foothold.
All signs point to a WWE growing every more inclusive and cagey, warping reality, making things up as it goes, rewriting stories on the fly, and generally playing Calvinball with its talent. It's the sign of a man who has nothing left but his playthings, and no one else to play with.

Verbal, you nailed it. And it sums up why I thought the AW thing was a bad idea. Give someone a hot mic for 10-15 minutes with orders to create heat, they will eventually find a way to go too far.
That said, you have to ask if he did that on his own or was that written for him. If it was written for him, then how the fuck did that line make it into the final script? You would think Vince would have someone... ANYONE to vet those jokes to be sure it doesn't go too far.
Then again, this is the most delusion man in the world, Vince McMahon, we're talking about so of course he wouldn't.

In response to verbaltoxin and desertgeek's comments, I'll repeat my opinion on Vince: As much as he calls his product "entertainment" and as much as he wants to separate himself from pro wrestling, he's still the biggest carny in the room. I'm not even bitching about the carny aspect of pro wrestling. Shit, I embrace it. But the way Vince handles it is the ultimate flip-flop, which makes him the biggest carny in the room.
I only saw Show/Cena last night. I read Caldwell's report and it looks like I missed a couple of decent matches in Sheamus/DBD and the tag.
Show/Cena was okay. I'm burnt out on both guys. Punk on commentary was gold, as usual. I enjoyed him shitting on King/Cole over talking about bullshit as opposed to calling the match. Halfway through the match I thought "what kind of fuck finish are they gonna do to build to a 3 way?" Punk did the run in, AJ came out and I was given my wizard's hat while I was Ortoning. The knock on the bathroom door was unexpected to say the least.
I hate title matches where the champ doesn't have to be pinned. At least make it an elimination match. This will be a spotfest to say the least. I know, WWE loves its big moments. I would think the basic psychology of the match would have Cena and Punk do their best to put Show out so they can battle it out, Show comes back and a big spot happens that lays out Show and Cena. Punk pins Cena and retains.

So the new FWC is up to the same LARPing the old FWC used to do, and of course First National Bastard is butthurt over it.

I don't even know how dane cook got noted as a funny guy. He told stories that were only semi-funny, but talked fast enough that people could barely follow him, so one small glint of humor starts a laugh. He keeps coming up on my doug benson pandora playlist and i can't hit thumbs down fast enough every time

I think FNB is one of those people who has to feel like they're the first to discover something, and the minute he finds out it's not an original thought, he pretends to mock and look down on it as being derivative.
In other words, he's a hipster.
