You serious? Spotting the trolls was the last great hobby left on Fark.. You can't even do that now without possible repercussions? Yep. This wasn't just the average, garden variety person who wanders into a pony thread to fuck with people, this was a 14 posts in a 20 minutes, two or three posts in a row, doing everything but advocating people who like MLP be rounded up and shot, obvious troll. And I finally quote him and say "You're a troll, and your pathetic" or something to that effect, and I get my post deleted for trolling, while he merrily keeps trolling along. Fuck it then.. Long time fWc lurker, first time poster...
My roommate and I were this close to buying tickets to this Raw as we live in Denver. We got back into wrestling with the Summer of Punk and were excited to finally have Raw come back to Denver. I see McMahon is still pissed at us because we made him move the show last year because of NBA playoffs or some such if I remember correctly.
Glad we decided not to spend the money on this turd sandwich...go TNA! I still feel wierd saying that...
Sorry to hear about all the Fark drama too, btw...but I never had much of a connection to the site.

One of the things Smiths has been banned for was pimping a free greasemonkey script that improves Fark, so... Like I said, the whole thing goes beyond Smiths. I know some people think he got what he deserved. But when you look at some of his bans what's going on there is ridiculous. Hell, my only ban came for, correctly, pointing out the author of particularly bad Music headlines. I was told I was harassing a Farker. I wasn't the only one sick of the crap but they chose to let him keep at it until the Music tab got so bad it basically died. That is the type of people Drew has in charge. My only real ban from posting was for the same reason. And I'll bet you we both called out the same guy. Were his initials TEM? Seriously, if this is really going to continue; then let the damn site die. The only way I can see it stopping is if Drew gets sober. |

Another lurker coming out of the woodwork here. One of my guilty pleasures was heading over to the Fark RAW thread after watching the show and having a good laugh at the comments and pictures since my friends don't really watch.
Jesus, the episode of RAW tonight was a total abortion. Just all around painful to watch. I can't imagine sitting through 3 hours of the crap that just clusterfucked its way out of my TV screen tonight.

RAW thoughts: - Was at work for the show. I can justify being on [REDACTED]. A proboards site, not so much. Management has been known to look in on what we're looking at when we're on the air. I have concerns regarding the language allowed at work. That's on me covering my ass in an industry that is most likely looking for excuses to shed staff with the market being in the holding tank of the outhouse, that in no way reflects on my opinion of this forum, for which I am appreciative. - With that out of the way, WHAT IN THE HOLY LIVING FUCK WAS THAT? They could've hotshotted that promo and gotten it done in 5 minutes and it wouldn't have been quite as bad as taking a hot soldering iron to ones dick-hole. They could have given Shamus and Thwagger an extra 20 seconds. - The tag with Ziggles/Bloom vs. Kidd/Christian... Why? I know... Albert gets his revenge on Kidd. I did think Dolph and Vickie sneaking out behind Albert was a nice touch. - Brodus... meh. - I really was having no problem with the laptop GM outside of what was or wasn't on the screen or the script on the keyboard. C'mon... That's so fucking lazy. - The flashback to Steph/HHH just reaffirmed how lame marriage angles are. - The Cena promo was okay. Remember, having the big guys like Show and Kane allow for some fun big guy/little guy spots when you have guys that can catch. - The tag was fine for what it was. The DQ ending was stupid. There are always pin breakups. When was the last time someone got DQ'ed for breaking up a pin? 1967? The post match shenanigans were predictable. Whatever. - I need more recaps. I've been hit in the head too many times that I can't remember my last bowel movement.  - Sin Cara/Slater. That lighting sucks. Slater's good in that he can bump like a motherfucker. It works when you put him with big guys and the old timers. Backlund looked good for a guy in his 60's. I would have had him demand that Slater recited the Presidents in order and administer the beatdown when Slater fucked up. That was also kinda weird that they brought Backlund to Denver when he was best known out east. - Lawler/Cole/Horny: Why? Just make Hornswaggle the defacto blow-off to everything that doesn't make sense. He's Vince's son, the RAW GM, he's fucking AJ, he shot JR, he was the other gunman on the grassy knoll, etc. That segment was embarrassing. - The main was stupid in that it happened. AJ pinning Eve means nothing, which is probably the way you would want to end that. Don't give away Punk/Bryan. The double slap was probably the best way they could go into the match with her as the ref. The marks are wondering who she's gonna go with and the rest of us are hoping for a blow-off. All in all, a shitty RAW going into MITB. If I were given the pencil going into this, I'd have AJ actually call the match straight with Punk going over clean. She can skip off afterwards and go challenge for the uterus belt and Punk and DBD can go again without the bullshit leading into SummerSlam or even to Survivor Series. |

Backlund looked good for a guy in his 60's. I would have had him demand that Slater recited the Presidents in order and administer the beatdown when Slater fucked up. That was also kinda weird that they brought Backlund to Denver when he was best known out east. You have to remember, Ed, that Bob Backlund is the one who couldn't remember his lines to the finish of an "I Quit" match. Keep this in perspective when asking him to perform live in-ring vignettes. |

He used to have his recent greenlights in his profile and I started pointing out which ones were his. I had about a 95% accuracy in predicting them. I also pointed out all they were greening for music was his submissions of 80's generic pop. He whined to a mod and I got a 2 day time out. I wasn't the only one doing it though, and not long after that he took out the recent greenlight script. But then Music died and suddenly he found his stuff under scrutiny from more mods and miraculously his volume dropped. Of course the fact Music became the TEM 80's Music Show with his having over half the greens had pretty much killed the whole tab. Just another instance where the problem stared them in the face and they responded by making their own site worse rather than admit they were wrong. Seeing a pattern? |

If you hit the "reply" spot, located on the lower right of the bottom post on a page, one of the tools available is an autocode feature that will allow you to embed a YouTube clip right into your message. If you have hit the quick reply box and just copy/pasted the URL, you can go in, edit your post and embed the video. I did this on Slamjack's posting of "RAW in 5 minutes" just to demonstrate. They lost nearly a half million viewers from last week, and the key 18-34 demographic went down 0.1 point for each hour from last week. If nothing else, the marks didn't reward WWE for a shitty program, and hopefully next week will continue the downward trend. |
