The problem is simply there are many mods and they operate in a veil of mystery. When Drew was actively with the site, no one really minded cuz you always just assumed in the end it was Drew doing something. With Drew out of the picture, it's just annoying to have jabronis fucking raping you. Maybe that's the core thing. It's always been "Drew Curtis' Fark" and he still holds golden rule over it. but there are people running it as "Tony's Fark" or "Jim's Fark" as they please, and really so long as they agree with eachother (or just don't give enough of a crap to argue with eachother or change things), crap can just happen and be forgotten. Shit. Drew fucking fired Jeff after the redesign for a bit. Just timed his ass out. Publicly too. I remember that thread. Drew just posts "Jeff is on a time out from his duties" Now we're at "DISCUSS ANYTHING THAT WE DO AND YOU ARE GONE TOO" Here's the truth: Fark has been on the downhill for a while. It can't compete with Reddit and 4Chan. It's only still going because Farkers consider themselves a tighter knit group than the massive Reddit hivemind. Farkers also skew older and surlier than the average Redditor. But in the end, user-driven content works better with Reddit's system than Fark's. Fark is a closed system, a pastiche of mods with their little duchies, each greenlighting only the links they see fit. No wonder then right wing toilet paper and the Daily Fail constantly get greenlights, whereas anything else which could be a credible, original source is not. The very notion of hoping a mod is in a good mood and greenlights your link is retarded when on Reddit, if it sucks it will get downvoted to hell (Check their r/new queue sometime for proof). Fark is an increasingly closed off circle of mods and users, with the same small list of sites getting greened over and over, and the same Farkers making the same comments ad nauseum. I mean, honestly, has tenpoundsofcheese or Weaver95 ever said anything we didn't expect them to say about politics? Have we not figured out that Farkers are judgmental assholes that make fun of people for liking things they don't like? It can't persist forever and it won't. |

Oh sorry no. Drew went into the redesign thread, saw people complaining, saw all the farkback people left, and made a public comment about what happened. Yeah, it created the "you'll get over it" cliche at fark but really I think it was the best move possible. people stopped complaining about the moderation, saw the "boss" was still around, and moved on to understand the redesign more. You know what was strange about that.. On Farks wiki page it used to mention the comment Jeff made and Drews "dealing" with him. Then any and all mentions of the incident disappeared. |

Well, thanks to Auntie Cheesuz (PBUH), I made it here and my class is now done. Of course, I'm currently watching the three hour Raw from April 23rd rather tahn the current episode, and if I know an fWc audience, the last thing you'd want is recaps of stuff that happened months ago, as I'm sure regular Raw/Smackdown already attends to all your recapping needs. So while you all get to enjoy the ballad of AJ, I'm watching an episode which starts off talking about a Cena/Lesnar contract signing for a PPV everyone else here has already viewed...
And what's the gredunza equivalent for this place?

Well, thanks to Auntie Cheesuz (PBUH), I made it here and my class is now done. I hate Reddit.. I can not navigate that POS site that looks like it was designed by someone who had a strange obsession with the BBS era and just couldn't let it fucking go. It's like someone took Slashdot and said "Let's make this even more confusing to navigate"..
