sharktrager: Jesus. This is trashing the city cheap heat x10.
Yes and the reason they keep going to that well is because it works. It doesn't work because of Cena though. He was over because they paired him with Bret and had him speak french in Montreal. The crows was STILL chanting "You can't wrestle". With that set up freaking Heath Slater could have gotten that pop.

Someone on Fark just pointed this out: How much is Linda's campaign flipping out about this? Lawler was in a match earlier in the night and then he has a heart attack (at least that's what signs are pointing to right now). You can't put it above her opponent to use this against her.

We still haven't heard if it's a heart attack or a stroke. PWInsider is reporting that he had flown to Montreal from Aruba today. It would be interesting if this causes WWE to reconsider the strenuous pace of their tour schedule.

Apparently Lawler's girlfriend is confirming a heart attack

Bret Hart's brother is saying that a friend of his who was backstage at Raw is reporting that Lawler was "clinically dead" for 20 minutes before a defibrillator revived him. That would mean that he had no blood circulation or breathing during that time.

IIRC, Lawler doesn't travel with the rest of the crew during the week as he's generally only used for RAW and PPV. That being said, WWE still has one of the most hellish schedules of any industry. All the best to the King.

That would mean that he had no blood circulation or breathing during that time. I think that we need that from more then one source. Especially when this source is "the brother of a famous guy's friend who was around". I hate hoe the dirtsheets are posting this as NEWS. Kinda high school-ish.

First and formost, good luck King. You'll never know I exsist... I do wish you the best though.
The Cena/Punk promo was outstanding. I enjoyed it completely. I cannot begin to understand why ya'll hated it. Heels EVERYWHERE are "cheaters and/or cowardly". THAT'S WHY THEY ARE HEELS. Bobby Roo hitting Storm from behind with a beer bottle isn't "cowardly"? Edit---> OH. It's that Cena is still the main guy and we are all bored with that. Yeah, count me as"we" too. Still I loved the promo.
Good stuff. I see Punk walking out with the title myself. Heels make more interesting champions in general anyway.
And every match but the Diva's and Sheamus/ADR looks like it will be pretty damn good this weekend.
This is the first PPV since WM that actually seems like it will have some solid wrestling. Orton/Ziggler is the one I look forward to the most.

So that's the kind of "bad guy" he's "supposed" to be to these smarks. gay loving banditos. I honestly don't get what you mean. Could you say it another way?

My biggest problem with this angle is that the whole premise of it is predicated on Punk not having earned anyone's respect. That's bullshit.

How many months have we complained that John Cena main evented amost every (if not EVERY) show since CM Punk became champ? Did we NOT call that disrepctful of the title? This is a play off that.

I understand that. And I think that that could have been a really cool start to an angle. But then they have Cena and Lawler going around saying that Punk doesn't deserve respect, and they try their best to portray them as being correct. That's a problem. It cheapens Punk, it cheapens the title, and it cheapens everybody Punk has defended the title against. Frankly, Cena should have been the heel in this feud, especially if he was going to talk trash like this. That'd never happen, though, so what we're left with is Cena and Lawler dissing Punk on a weekly basis and being the good guy for it.

Yes, this could be bad if it is true. Apparently they have some type of medication they can administer once the circulation starts back up in an attempt to avoid brain cell death. I hope they gave him this treatment and that it is successful, otherwise he could have severe brain damage... :-(

Jerry Lawler's ex-wife Stacy "The Kat" Carter provided an update regarding Lawler's, posting the following on Twitter… "He had a stint and balloon put in. Right now he is still heavily sedated. Will update when I know more."

My problems with the Punk/Cena feud is that the crowd has spoken. They prefer Punk. You take the Bret in Montreal factor out and that crowd at very least leans Punk. They had to throw in Bret, Cena speaking French and Punk insulting the town, the French language and people and insulting multiple beloved ring heroes to get the crowd to side with Cena. On his own not only doesn't the crowd like him, they love to dislike him.
On top of that Punk has beaten Cena how many times?
The idea that Punk is their problem is ridiculous when he hasn't even been the focus of any of the PPV's. Their problem is that they don't know how to build an angle anymore. It's about throwing something together to feature whichever Part-time Superstar is up in the rotation, at the expense of the actual stable of talent. They write the crap like Fantasy Island where you have your guest stars each week with the dramatic central story lines and your regular cast stuck with a comedy sideshow.

Watching this & NOC back-to-back as I'm insomniac right now, ding so to avoid spoilers on NOC, will likely comment here on the pre-Lawler going down bits.
Having a mild markgasm for seeing Bret & Punk in the same ring.
