As someone who once asked Grables for BIE, let me say this: The act is old. It's overdone. It's annoying and unnecessary. And maybe most importantly to her, the attention whoring is just not sexy.

Yet, because I reported her for repeatedly posting (30-40 posts of a 400 post thread? That's a bit much, isn't it?) and because I have the guts to call her out on her bullshiat; I'll probably get banned. Because I think all of you who are virtually felliating her are farking pathetic because you'll never get to do it in real life, I'll probably get banned. You know, just like Smiths was.

I'll get banned for calling her out for using this site for free advertising while her free advertising goes unpunished. As someone who's paid his own money to this site, that f*cking pisses me off.

I hope I'm proven wrong. I hope that the powers that be around here come to their senses and end Grable's little game.

But if a guy gets banned for life for basically calling her out on her own bullshiat, I know I'll get the same treatment.

Now, you can't see that on Fark because as expected; it's gone. And the whore's posts are all still there, proving my point exactly.

So I just sent a Farkback with the following:

- Don't post repetitively. Grable's does that and I reported her for it in that thread. What happened? Jack shit.
- Don't threadjack. I believe drawing attention to herself and away from the story qualifies as threadjacking.
- Don't post private/contact information no matter how easily obtained. She posted her email in that thread!
- Don't try to make the thread discussions all about you -aka Attention Whoring. Do I need to say it?

Oh yeah, and she's using Fark as free advertising for her own adult website. Essentially, she's doing the online equivalent of panhandling. Does any respectable business let people panhandle on their property? Never in my lifetime.

And I know for a fact that she's been reported often for all of those things. And yet you do nothing about it. Moreover, people who have reported her for it have ended up banned. And don't tell me that's not the case because people I know and trust have been reporting her and eventually, have been banned.

I've been on sites where rules weren't enforced because the people in charge stopped caring. You know what happened to those sites? People stopped going to them. And the more you let her crap go on, the faster Fark will go down the toilet.

My Totalfark subscription ends on the 29th of this month. Unless you wake up and do what's right (meaning shut her down), I will not be renewing and not give my money to Fark any longer. And you can watch other potential Totalfarkers take their money to her site and her wishlist instead of giving it to Fark.

Well, thank you. I posted it from work (as I had a lazy hour to close up the place) and knew that by the time I got home, it would be gone.

Meanwhile, I've gotten a reply to my Farkback. It reads:

It's not about other accounts. It's not about ignoring people (which doesn't even work because eventually, you find out about what the ignored asshole said from other members no matter how hard you try to). It's about your clear refusal to do your damn jobs! There are rules for posting on the site. I know you will enforce them with some users. Try enforcing them uniformly with ALL users. It's not that hard, is it?

Listen, I get things slipping through everyone's grasp and some violations not being caught. That happens. But when you have someone who constantly violates the site's policies and knows she can get away with it, it brings down the entire site. And when people report her for those violations and then are ignored by you and the other mods and admins, that's a failure. It says to EVERYONE "we don't give a fuck about our jobs." What happens when everyone stops caring about doing their jobs? The whole damn thing falls apart.

Do your job. Enforce the rules. Shut her whoring down.

Hey desertgeek - there was one instance in that thread where the ignore controls were useless: when DirkTheDaring posted a photo of the Pancake Queen, but the message body contained no mention of her by name. Without the name to trigger off of, the ignore feature is as useless as... well... her.

I agree completely. If I had received that email, I would have forwarded it on to Drew at his Fark.com email and ask if this is how his moderation/administrative staff is trained to deal with paying customers.

Because just making everybody turn a blind eye to those who break the rules is much easier than actually enforcing the rules. That is too much trouble.

This ^^^ one little concept is what makes me so anti-Fark right now. Reading Fark these days is like being in the office for me. Where certain pets are allowed to do whatever they want and complainers are told to shut up.

I've tried to be as nuanced and diplomatic about the issue as possible, but I've never denied the hypocrisy or imcompetence. I still maintain that is is "their club" and Drew's business, and if these are his business practices we still have the choices of complaining, leaving or giving negative feedback.

I'm still not leaving Fark. Even with this biased and incompetent moderating, the core of the site is still poking fun at news stories, and the user base hasn't shrunk so much yet, that there is still enough going on to make it a good time waster.

For my part, from now on if I see Grables doing this stuff, I'm reporting it in Farkback. I'm not calling her out in-thread though because it hasn't solved anything. I will do as I did last night, and draw attention back to the subject of the thread (Hot nurse photos, or in my case, nurse photos made hot).

It's pretty damn terrible the mods are either overlooking or are willfully ignorant to the issue, and go so far as to accuse someone of harassment when their complaint is totally valid.

What is amazing is that, despite the deletion with the comment that I was trolling, I didn't get a ban. I didn't even get a warning. Then I called out a mod on the forum and still nothing. (although I didn't know he was a mod at the time).

I only regret I didn't post more so they would have had more work.

I thought I was on the SmithsList, but I haven't gotten anything lately. Regardless, this is complete and utter horseshit. I guess my form of protest is instead of mentioning Fark on the air, I'll just quote the source of the story that I use. Trust me, in my line of work that site has been a godsend to me since I was turned on to it. For my purposes, it makes 99% of radio prep services obsolete (I rarely use audio clips so most prep sheets are lost on me) and I'm sure all of them booger their kickers from there anyways. And it makes for a great time killer during a music sweep when I don't feel like Ortoning or smoking.
