gunnyhighway: Joey Ryan is awesome. Working hard on his character and landing solid work. and has a good consistent thing going and getting reaction. WWE he'd be dark matching or have a push until Vince McMahon saw a quarter hour dip. Then? Ryback. That's the problem. It is real tough to work up the card in WWE. Look at Tyson Kidd

I know a certain James from the Twin Cities will shit on it, but they are setting up the Wes/Garrett turn on Angle pretty damn well. I now care about it because I know what's going to happen.

Smiths: Verbaltoxin/Ling ualvenom : They can leave if they want. I totally agree it destroys your family life, but some people don't care. I'm firmly convinced pro wrestling, as a business, is maybe a step and a half above the porn industry and the mafia. Ron Jeremy has fucked Chyna. That's so fucked up. I mean he's fucked some skank stuff. like horrid herpes. but you gotta imagine even he was like "Chyna? This?" It was ah....good enough for the Game ahhh....

Davari talks about leaving WWE when his stock was still high. Carlito did the same thing. These guys still make money wrestling. Other guys stay in WWE and become permanent jobbers, even on the Indies. Daivari's got a good head on his shoulders.

Claire Forlani. Goddammit is she still hot. But she's English, not Scottish. Fuck it, I'll give her a pass and let her meet my Joe Black.

His stories about real estate and his apartment in Las Vegas on his AOW interview are great.

Some of that's because for a time, the dudes being turned out by Johnny Ace's piss poor talent system could only work the WWE style, and you can't do that in the indies. So they'd learn only WWE stuff, then get released, and soon they can't get booked because they get bad reps for being unable to work.

I still don't think we'll ever get the full story on just how ludicrously inept John Laurenaitis was at running the talent dept. He was bad, like really, really bad.

Just read that Brisco was at a college wrestling match this weekend to scout talent. To be fair Ziggler worked through FCW and Titus was a football Player (he isn't great but fun)

Those seasonal firings WWE used to do came from Ace calling guys up before they had angles for them, or before they were ready. Great example: one Scotty Goldman aka Colt Cabana.

they're doing 2 things absolutely right with A&8 that they didn't with the nWo
1) they lose. with the nWo, they never lost! it got to the point that when they made the ring intro, you knew that the guy with the porn music was going to win, so why watch? A&8, in the matches that have gone to conclusive finishes, they have lost as much as they've won.
and
2) The TNA locker room comes out when the A&8s come in. So many nWo run-ins ended with 8 guys in black beating down 1 or 2 WCW guys. This is a great example right now: A&8 invades the Kurt/Doc match, and out come Wes, Garret, and Joe. Heels and faces alike have come out in the past as a united front against Aces and Eights.
This is why I have faith in what we're seeing. The writers and producers are actually being smart about all this.

The guy's as solid as they come. He and Punk did an hour broadway for us and it was damn good.
