I'm really glad they're not hotshotting this. Instead of revealing the entire membership, it's bit by bit. making the whole thing a long-term storyline, not somthing that will be done and forgotten as quickly as, oh i dunno, Nexxus.

-- Screwjob finish coming. -- I looked on Thesaurus.com for a synonym for "barrage" as Magnus is basically just TNA's Wade Barett. The only word with an "m" is mugging. So who wants to be part of the Magnus Mugging? -- Decent TV match as usual. TNA doesn't just have the guys do their key spots, aka playing the hits. -- There isn't a whole lot of tension in this feud. Magnus needs to actually win some against Joe. I like the "Joe's gonna kill you" chant before the match during Magnus' promo Joe is pretty awesome. It's almost a shame he couldn't have had a bigger spotlight with the wwe. I could imagine Vinny having joe paint his face and patting his belly. Joe sorta has an Egyptian look to me. There has really never been an Egyptian gimmick... That's weird.

*Hardy looked like he had a pig nose at the end of last weeks show. *But....but.... WHERE IS THE FAT GUY WHO ATE TAZZ?! I ill stop making fun of him (so much) if he just comes back. *Yes, cheer Abyss being a lawyer. *YOU GTE A CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION. *YOU* GET A CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION. *Wait, ODB vs The BB guy? REALLY? *"I know I have an ear infecetion just like Charlie Sheen and it's because of ODB, because she's everywhere". * *Alright, FINALLY something that isn't retarted or just dumb. Magnus! *"Joe's gonna kill you*, lol

This new guy better be careful. Zima Martel is a dangerous man. No literally, he's fucking DANGEROUS.
*So Taz isn't there and gets to judge still? Pfffffffffffffffffffft.
*Austin Aries takes the non-shitty looking belt
*Oh and.. Punk/Cena dueling belts in the future?
*Ok, this ODB match with the guy is dumb
*Remember when the KO's division wasn't a joke? Simply put, TNA has a ton more women who can wrestle then the WWE. They, however, get as much time on TV now as the Divas do.
*Robbie E vs Jeff hardy. REALLY? GOLLY GEE, I WONDER WHO WILL WIN?!?!?!
*SORT OF WIZARD.
*"It was a metaphor Jeff". lol
*Morgan now using Hogan's cape? Not sure if I like or don't like...
*HOGAN
*"Whoever get's pinned gets buried for the next year, FYI".
*"MATT MORGAN IS GOING TO EAT THROUGH THE ENTIRE ROSTER". "FEED HIM MORE!" "FEED HIM MORE!"

*Since only a fool would have Bully Ray and D-Von have their match on free TV, that means this ends in a moshpit. Again.
*I'd say "WIZARD", but meh. The sky is blue too.
*"I know that guy". "An enforcer for some of the biggest names in the buisness". Ok, so I'll read ya'lls responses so I can find out who this is. Tenay thinks I should know him.
*Ok, don't know him, off to the Wiki
*Ok, so he was on WWE when I wasn't watching
*Guess we'll see if he's any good

I dunno. Maybe it's just where I am, but Impact was pretty meh. I can't really bitch about it. I'm glad they cut off Bubba/Devon. That should be PPV.
- 3-ways suck for a championship, unless it elimination. Actually, no. It should be elimination regardless. And 3-ways usually suck anyways. There are only so many spots you can do with 3 guys. Then it usually gets to one guy getting pitched out of the ring to sell while the other 2 guys work and then pitched guy gets his comeback. Wash, rinse, repeat. There's false finishes with the third guy breaking them up somehow. I always thought the elimination with a finish and then you have the last 2 guys work to a finish is best. Makes it look like a more grueling match. Which is what I thought was the way to book a 3-way. Anyways, the champ should be pinned to transfer a title.
I thought the match with Shane Douglas, Terry Funk and Sabu was the shits. It was obvious that they worked, pitch Sabu out, then Terry comes back, protect Shane and everyone. This was early ECW. Yeah, that was fun. Some of us remember the '90's.

This was a mixed bag episode. You guys touched on a lot of it already, but some things that stood out to me, both good and bad:
They immediately found someone to get the X-Division belt off of RVD. I like the idea of a "Triple X Division" Champion.
Joe's gonna kill Magnus. Well, probably not, but I love this feud.
Yeah, it's a three-way for the No. 1 contendership, but at least we know that one of those three guys won't be anywhere near the World Title picture for about a year.
The TTFKATWTTCOTW are awesome. Chavo still annoys me whenever he speaks, but as long as it results in good heel segments from the TTFKATWTTCOTW and Mexican Ryback being Mexican Ryback (and hopefully getting a rub from one of at least three solid performers he's working with ATM) I'm cool with it. This is still a tag team division, unlike WWE where Bryan and Kane hold decorations that nobody has any interest in winning a few weeks after a super-forced last-minute out-of-nowhere No. 1 Contenders' tournament. While Team Hell No have spectacular mic chemistry I never would have suspected before their push and Rhodes Scholars is a combo of two internet darling heels, it still feels like come Mania the biggest thing to come from the "revitalizing" of the WWE tag division will be two singles matches: Kane/DB and Mysterio/Sin Cara.
Anyway, back to Impact stuff...
Park acts nothing like a lawyer. He acts more like someone who advertises legal services, not an actual lawyer. Him wanting to fight instead of sue the living shit out of Aces and 8's (especially considering that such an effort could potentially lead to discovering the identity of their president, or at least whoever is bankrolling them) was stupid. I get that it was all to set up the locker room "gettin' some" of A&8's but it was way too fucking forced for me.
Hollywood Boyfriend angle is stupid as fuck. I no longer give a shit about the KO's title unless ODB wins it or Tess brings in her own boyfriend and it's John Morrison and we get a triple-threat mixed tag match for the KO Tag titles: Tara and Incredibly Bad Actor Man, Tess and John, and ODB/EY. Still, the actual Knockouts championship means very little when it sits on the shoulder of someone whose sole motivation is flaunting her boyfriend around.
Aces and 8's has one thing going for it that you can't say about Nexus: most of the people in A&8's come across as equal. The only "big guys" (that will occasionally no-sell) are guys that are literally larger than everyone else in the ring and should be no-selling anyway, given how men of that stature are usually booked. It's not like Nexus, where "Everyone's equal but I'm Wade Barrett and I'm in charge. Good luck remembering anyone else's name except me for like a year." The mask thing has been working out very well for them, and I actually think unmasking Gallows/Festus/Baldilocks was probably rushed. I think A&8's should be planning for their big "moment of triumph" where their plan to run roughshod over Impact (and who came up with it) is revealed, and they all unmask themselves -- instead, they are running around like a bunch of directionless thugs who have nothing to fight for except to protect the anonymity that allows them to do...what, exactly?
it just feels like the whole A&8's thing was supposed to have that climax moment at BFG and that the TNA team went "Holy shit things are working, we have to do everything we can to keep this momentum...so let's try to make these stories go on and on and on and on. Streetlights, people..."
...yeah. Not a great, must-watch episode at all, but the work was solid and storylines were definitely advanced, although some were in a way that just made me roll my eyes. It wasn't head-shakingly, mind-numbingly, TV-smashingly, Green-as-Fuck-Invincible-Panflash-loses-by-low-blow-in-the-main-event-of-a-PPVingly bad as some other recent shows but there is definitely a lack of creative direction going on in Dixieville. Maybe the Hogan fuck tape stuff is really distracting the hell out of them, but it's probably just stupidity.
Still, I have some reason to want to watch next week, and it's not just the whole "how bad can these morons make it" mentality I have when I watch WWE (which outside of the PPV I haven't really done in a few weeks now). I can tolerate crap when the stuff that's good is really good, and gets good time. TNA is still able to do that, but they're not the "holy shit this is great" product they were right after Slammiversary - and given how easy it seemed to be for them to keep it going, that's a damn shame.

Oh, and if Matt Morgan's "Terry" storyline manages to shift the Hogan character out of being one of the centerpieces of the Aces and 8's saga (because he's busy dealing with a gigantic rampaging maniac who hates Hogan's entire existence) I will be completely thrilled with it. If it's just another way for Hulk Hogan to grab some spotlight and force himself into the frame whenever Joey Ryan is around, puke. GM Hogan means GM Hogan, not The Hulk Hogan Show Season MDCLXVIII: Even Moar Hogan Brother.
of course, that's like expecting Royal Dutch Shell to give free gas to Sandy victims.

Goddamnit, Senile Vince, I'm carny drunk and you made some points I wanna comment on. Senile Vince: Joe's gonna kill Magnus. Well, probably not, but I love this feud. This has wheels underneath it. I like Joe a lot. Magnus is alright, too. Looks like they'll be married for a while. The group I was with had Joe and Abyss for a main several years ago. If you think Samoa Joe is impressive on TV, see him live. Chris is a helluva worker too. Senile Vince: Yeah, it's a three-way for the No. 1 contendership, but at least we know that one of those three guys won't be anywhere near the World Title picture for about a year.
That's an interesting way to book the title picture. While wearing my booker wizard hat, I would think that somebody's gonna get some time off or will end up in a long term program outside the title chase. <TNA Tag champs> I don't care for Chavo and Hernandez. Chavo is a decent worker, but whenever I see Hernandez in the ring I wonder, "who's getting injured tonight." I think that when I see most muscle-heads. Including the muscle-head. For whatever reason, I automatically think they don't know how to work properly. Many of them are stiff in the way they move out there due to their physique. Sometimes they are more worried about how they look as opposed to what they can do in the ring. Most muscle guys can't bump for shit. Senile Vince: The TTFKATWTTCOTW are awesome. DB/Kane are there because of the big guy-little guy dynamic. The whole thing about the teams being named "Team xxx" is bullshit. Hell No is fun. Why not just call them the "Rhodes Scholars?" Shit, we have the Prime Time Players. Too much influence from "writers." Or use their names. Senile Vince: Park acts nothing like a lawyer. I see your point, but remember ol' Joe is pissed off in kayfabe land because he was "held" as a hostage by a/8's. BTW, it must have been refreshing for Mr. Park to gig on the other side of his head a few months ago while not wearing the Abyss mask. I'm also happy that Drew and company are getting a payday.
