Verbaltoxin/Lingualvenom: Anyway...
TONIGHT!
I drink some Shipyard Pumpkin ale, which tastes like ale but has no pumpkin flavor whatsoever.
I also enjoy some Cabela's cookies and cream and milk chocolate fudge.
The topper is my famous (to my wife) homemade pizza, with prosciutto, olives, red onion, red pepper, green pepper, and about 5 different cheeses.
Predictions?
Storm wins, Joe wins, Aces and 8's wins, the World Tag Team FRAZZLEDRAFFFFs of the World wins, Tess wins, Ion wins, and Aries wins.
Tonight will be about advancing and finishing current storylines, not about crowning new FRAZZLEDRAFFFFs and changing paradigms.
I predict we won't see Eric Bischoff. Jeff Jarrett, though, I can't rule out.
I predict Bully is not in league with the biker gang. It'll be a fairly straight match that sees the Dead Man's Hand Gang win with some chicanery.
That's it! Let the snark begin!
Here's my results: The fudge? Awesome. My pizza? Perfecto. The beer? Meh. Storm, Joe, and Aces n' 8's won, so +3 I forgot about Ryan vs Snow, so +0. No Bischoff. Right +1 No Jarrett, but I didn't say either/or. +0 Bully didn't turn, +1. Aces n' 8's won dirty, but it was no DQ, so +0. Tess, Daniels/Kaz, Ion and Aries lost. -4. Final tally: 5-4. I'm about as good as any psychic in the entire world.

Storm/Roode owned everyone though, and that I think should take precedence over Devon swerving the dirt sheets.

Overall this was a decent event, but it still felt Clash of the Ch@mpions, and not Starrcade.
Matches ranked best to worst:
1. Roode vs Storm (Excellent, one of TNA's bloodiest ever, all out brawl, heavy psychology, long term build-up, made these men stars again)
2. Aries vs Hardy (Outstanding, well-executed, finisher served storylines well, hot crowd, rematch is obvious next step)
3. Angle/AJ vs Hernandez/Chavo vs Kaz/Daniels (Good, started slow, ramped way up in the middle, flat at the end, but sick bumps made up for it)
4. Joe vs Magnus (Good, pleasing finish, great chemistry, strong spots, few botches, not a lot of heat though)
5. Snow vs Ryan (Solid, told a good story, Morgan's run-in was a good surprise, Ryan got the win, Snow looked great)
6. Ion vs RVD (Solid but unspectacular, Ion's still new and RVD's too old)
7. Aces n 8's vs Sting/Bully (Devon notwithstanding, that match was very sloppy and had few good brawl spots)
8. Tara vs Tess (No chemistry, Tess is a stiff in the ring, and who the fuck was that Big Brother dude?)

I thought Tara's "Hollywood boyfriend" looked familiar: Jesse Godderz made appearances on seasons 10-14 of "Big Brother" on CBS (my brother is addicted to that reality contest show dreck) and has been working of late in the TNA developmental program at Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Son of a whore. Looks like I missed a good PPV. If someone could guide me to where I can view it, please PM me. Got hung up at work, also had a decent crowd for the Packers game at the bar, so I've cleaned up after that, cleaned the goddamned neglected deep fryer and now, at 5:39AM I'm carny drizunk. Mmmm... beer and vodak...
Read the spoilers. That doesn't ruin it for me. I need to see this show.
- RVD as the new X Division champ? Meh. That won't last long.
- Sounds like Joe/Magnus was decent.
- Roode/Storm seemed awesome. Seemed like an odd place to put that match on the card, but in retrospect, it might have been okay there. Remember, bring 'em up and bring 'em down.
- The fuck finish for Ryan/Snow made sense.
- The 3-way tag? I woulda kept the straps on Daniels/Kaz. They have nuclear heat. They don't need the belts to be over, but keeping the straps on them builds heat. I'm not a fan of Chavo and Hernandez. Chavo is rather meh, IMO and Hernandez strikes me as someone who's gonna hurt someone off of a botch. I really wish Kurt would retire so he doesn't end up on the Dynamite Kid program.
- Tara/Tess? Meh.
- Sting/Bubba vs A/8's: I need to see this. Devon was out of left field. There's nothing wrong with a WTF reaction from the crowd. And at least is was a paid crowd.
- The main read like a good match.
I need to watch the fucking thing. My not watching it but reading the reports thinks there were too many title changes.

Street Fight - 5 star must f'n see match Joe vs Magnus for TV title - Must see Tag Title Match - Slow in the opening, spot-o-rifically awesome in the middle and "meh" by the end. Really? Tex Mex wins? X title match - You just had this kid (who I think is average at best), run through your whole X Division. 3 days before the PPV, out of NOWEHERE, you make him drop the title to a 40+ year old? REALLY? No buildup at all. Just make him drop it. Aces & 8's vs Bully and Sting - Was only entertaining when everyone went nuts for getting the tables, unexpected swerve. If DVon is a General, but not the leader, then MAJOR kudos to TNA. If he IS the leader, fuck this company. Knockouts - I remember when this division was a highlight. That was B.H. Before Hogan. Ryan vs Snow - THrowaway. No one thought Ryan was going to lose. Hardy vs AA - Was pretty good (minus Hardy winning). Went back and forth. AA revertion back to heel feels superforced and I am not a fan of that. In ring was solid as hell though.
I'd give it 8 out of 10.
Negatives:
*Hey boo, come on out here boo. Boo? Boo! *The match with Aces and Eights up til the swerve. No really, Hulk Hogan came out and murdered 5 people with one punch apiece. REALLY? *Ryan/Snow being predicatble *Three Way tag match not being a THREE WAY tag match. 2 people in the ring at a time? Really? *Making the kid I think is pedestrian at best job to the 42 year old for no apparent reason *Matt Hardy is your world champ.
Positives: *(Assuming he is a General) Devon swerve was well frickin played. *Street Fight was the match of the year for both companies *Tag Match had some damn fine spots. I was worried Hernanddez had killed that man for a second *Hardy vs AA was a very entertaining match.
The good outweighs the bad.

Of course I didn;t know Morgan was going to interefere. He has ZERO reason to. Why, wrestling logically, would Morgan care about Al Snow OR some new guy? He WOULDN'T. It would be like Hernandez interupting Roode/Storm. Sure you could try to promo away your reasoning, the fact is that it wouldn't make any SENSE.

As I saw it, he wasn't helping Ryan as much as he was trying to hurt TNA for whatever past indiscretions they committed against him. If they're trying this hard to keep Ryan out of the company, then a great F-U is to help him get in.

Totally tits!
Found it! I'll do my best to drink and watch.
- Nice opening package. Not to much, just about right. Looks like a nice smaller (5k seat) arena. The ribbon lights at the top of the room make a nice professional touch to the presentation. Entrance ramp reminds me of Maple Leaf Gardens.
- Crowd is HOT.
- RVD/Ion: Nice opener. Not the biggest fan of either of these two, but that was alright. Taz and Tenay are actually talking about what's going on in the ring? WTF? lol
- And right into Magnus/Joe after a short interview with Magnus? WTF is this shit? WHAR VIDEO PACKAGE? WHAR?
- I really liked Joe/Magnus. Great false finishes with the STF and the rear naked choke.
- Video package on Storm/Roode now. What I've been loving about TNA is the intensity of the matches. The production has been really good. Major league.
- Okay, Roode/Storm time now. Going to watch straight through and comment at the end. PAUSE: just after the kendo stick nutshot spot to Roode. First off, color off of the ringpost is so very old school. Second, Storm is selling like there's no tomorrow. Also notice that when they took it to the outside where Hemme, et al are sitting, there was one regular chair and the rest were padded. Regular chair comes into play. I just recognize that because I had to deal with the KOC manager who tried to accuse us of fucking up his chairs.
Getting another drink and back to the match...
Great match, BUT... it didn't need the beer or the tacks. Why the fuck would there be a bag of thumbtacks under the ring? Why would there be a sixer under the ring? Who wants a warm beer? Why does the ring crew leave their kendo sticks under the ring? Who keeps thumbtacks in a black velvet bag? When was the last time you saw a metal trash can inside a venue? Why was it under the ring?
Match woulda been even better without all that shit. It was still a great match with old school selling and work with the exception of the garbage elements. But that's a rant for another time.
- Joey Ryan promo. I would assume they had another canvas underneath the one that looked like they gutted a deer on. Plenty of time to pull the old one. Intro time. Yuup.
- Ryan/Snow: Fun Fact: I spoke with Al Snow in carny on the air years ago. Good match. Announcers putting the guys over. Why was Head under the ring? Loved the chest hair pull spot. Al can still go. Morgan should've had a shirt on to make it more realistic if he were coming out of the crowd. First heel win of the night.
- Nice promo from the WTTCOTW. And now, a video package. I also dig the hell outta Daniels' glove.
- Tag time. Lol @ Taz: "Don't call me a mark." Taz and Tenay have been pretty on tonight. I do hate 3-ways for a title. IMO, one should have to pin the champ for a title to change hands. Elimination? I'm okay with that. That being said, helluva match. Lotsa trainwreck quality. I was impressed by Brian Hebner keeping pace with it with all of the false tags.
- Fap time. Fun Fact: I'm closer in age to Tara than Tess. BTW, there wouldn't be much departure if they made a lego figure of Tess facially. Oh, and the guest bell ringer from whatever radio station that was proves my point on most on air women in radio. Some are hot, most sound hot. Anyways, good match. The "Hollywood BF" shit was just that. IIRC CBS and SpikeTV are both under the Viacom umbrella. lol @ the "who are you" chant.
- Sting HOF promo time. Steve Borden kinda resembles Steve Buchemi. He deserves it, though. Next year it better be Bobby Roode or AJ Styles.
- Okay, A/8 promo time. Time to get the rest of the bar back together. Bully is awesome, BTW.
- Sting/Bully v A/8: Okay... Bully coming out in old school Sting facepaint? Nice touch. I've been high on him since old school ECW. Great fire, great heat. Not the best wrestler but an awesome worker.
Okay, just finished the match. Good match. The fuck finish was okay. No DQ and shit. [si Fuck you, Hulk.ze=4] , BROTHER![/size]
The reveal with Devon was fine. Fucking marks have to insert themselves into the show.
- BTW, I'm about ready to throw the shot wheel into the trash. More trouble than what it's worth.
- AA/JH. Good promo, let's go. BTW, AA is from Milwaukee. He trained in the Twin Cities and now lives in Florida. Fuck that was a good match.
Shit. Great show. I sure as fuck hope TNA can get some ground with numbers even though Thursday's go home bombed.
