They haven't ever really posed the question of "Who's the leader of Aces & 8's?"
I mean, Bully would say stuff like "STORM IS ACES & 8's" but remember they were looking for the person who was giving them access to the arena. Then Hogan did the lockdown, Devon's contract ended, and they set up the tag match...
I really don't think Thursday's IMPACT is going to be Devon claiming to be the leader and boss of the whole gang, he's going to give a promo saying how Aces & 8's needed a guy on the inside to get them in, and hopefully it will lead to the other members unmasking finally and establishing their individual identities. I think we'll start getting questions about who brought this whole plan together after we get to actually see what the real plan was to its full extent - which the people writing this stuff may not even really have down yet.
Still, I didn't hate it, I went "oooh, that's interesting" and did not get the impression at all that he was the boss.

me too, I was CERTAIN they'd do Angle as the inside man. It seemed practically telegraphed. Not as much as Bully (and his last-minute LOD/classic Sting facepaint swervetease was great, whoever came up with it) but still... Hogan was possible Sting was possible Bully was possible Angle was possible Storm was kinda still in play Anderson was possible (we never saw his actual beatdown, we just saw the very end of it) They could have gone anywhere from Chavo to Tazz to a ref to one of the camera guys instead it was the guy we were all positive wasn't even under contract with the company and was never part of the conversation. And it still makes total sense. Good for them.
