Okay, so a theme I have been picking up on around here and on FB is that people miss things like submitting stories for the masses to comment on, as well as liking to discuss other subjects.
Now, I can create additional categories and sub-forums. Hell, I can even assign moderator duties for a specific sub-board for those who want to be responsible. We can set up anything - food and beverages, politics, sports, technology, music, critter care... this is for all y'all, I just happen to have opened the door.
Maybe if it is more than wrestling, y'all won't mind inviting friends in to play.
So, what do y'all want?

I think the best answer to this is to wait and see what Drew does at Fark. If he makes moves that are satisfactory to us, then this won't be necessary.

Well, I thought that maybe, since we are a smaller subset, that we could actually have reasonable discussions on the issues of the day, such as science, politics and entertainment.
I also thought that stories from our local news sources could offer a glimpse into the regions of the country we live in. For example: the big story on my local news feed is the upcoming Lions' Club balloon festival and car show. The next big story was the rescue of 7 baby ducks that fell into a storm water runoff system and were trapped. A wet/dry vacuum with a tiny cleaning tool was used to pluck the ducklings up from the drain and the family was released back onto the lake.
The town isn't small (95,000 population), but it's so quiet that a cat being rescued from Binghamton, NY and flown to this town actually made front page news in 2011.

See, that is awesome. I cannot tell y'all how many times I have read "Gertie the Duck" to a classroom full of kids. Yes, back in the stone age, Auntie Cheesus was a kind and considerate person that spent much of her free time in school assisting with the kids in the orthopedic and developmentally challenged classes.

Poll is locked. The results are 80% of us want addition discussion areas, 20% like this the way it is. Like most elections, only 10% of the registered users voted.

So your poll had the turnout of a typical midterm election where only state issues were on the ballot.

I will say you might not have many bites on this. Now if it was about something in our personal lives... Some of us don't have friends in life. I have very few. VERY few.
I suppose I could post stripclub pics for clicks...lol

Well, the reason I was thinking about additional subjects: I understand that people have different interests. For example, I enjoy things like current events, cooking and video games. I understand that other people don't like these things. It's easier to find or avoid various subjects if they are categorized.
