The WWE has signed PAC from Dragon's Gate Japan and has offered deals to Sara Del Rey and Matt Taven. Rumor has it these new acquisitions are the beginning of Triple H's attempt to build a new generation of wrestlers for the company.
Good idea or is signing with the WWE a fast track to a dead end? Discuss.

I think a lot of the potential success or failure will be down to how much sway Vince has with creative in how they'll be booked. I'm very hopeful that Gagne and Steph will really be able to right the ship now that they're starting to get more control over the business.
Hope springs eternal, I suppose.

The only way this is good is if they know/figure out how to use people. They could sign everyone in the business but if they're used moronically, it's still the shits.

Sara Del Ray will become Sugar Dazzle, PAC will become Poindexter Aloysius Cranesmelter, and both will be horribly used, assuming they ever make it out of FCW.

I like that Sara will be making great money, ,just like Claudio is, but I'm under no illusions about how she'll be used.

Something that caught my eye during my morning coffee and smoke dirt sheet run:
A WWE source reports that WWE hiring top women's wrestler Sara Del Rey is their answer to the problem of employing swimsuit models who end up getting frustrated and leaving such as The Bella Twins, Maryse, Maxine or Kelly Kelly. As noted before, the belief is that Del Rey will also help train WWE's Divas.
It looks like maybe SOMEONE has actually noticed what we've said all along. Now, all they need to do is ditch that damn butterfly Barbie belt.

Notice they are hiring her to train divas how to wrestle, not because they plan on improving their hiring process.
Models aren't going to succeed as wrestlers because, to do it convincingly, it's a lot of work and not the kind of work they are used to. Then, on top of that work, they have to do their regular modeling work.

Honestly, I suspect that once word gets out about how much work is expected for female screen workers in the WWE, it will scare off the bikini model types and actually encourage the hiring of actual women wrestlers. After all, TNA has managed to come up with a stable of good looking women that can wrestle.

So the new plan is to have a trained, talented female job to bikini models?
That has worked so well for Victoria and Beth and Natty...
Trish was a once in a lifetime model turned athlete b/c Trish is athletic.
