This will (damn well better be) the only one that doesn't. I don't think it'll change hands, because Sting losing the match and all future title opportunities makes Bully Ray look like a megastar, and they need that if they're going to book BFG around AJ Styles and him.

Phrasal Blight: I know Sting can't go like he used to, but this match does have a sort of congratulatory feel to it, as though we know, deep down, this is probably Sting's penultimate Slammiversary appearance. yeah. And he hopefully puts over Bully Ray like a mofo last year it was a fall off the stage that took Sting out and made Roode even more believable leading to the whole Aries/Roode thing Just the only thing is "will Sting lose two years in a row at Slammiversary" blah blah but it like... "he can, it's Sting." DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? Sting's right where Michaels was towards his end. He could lay down every week and it wouldn't matter. He'd get more cheers losing than he would winning by this point. |

Unfortunately the crowd brawling has been a common cover for Sting's lack of in-ring mobility. They do it in practically every big match of his now.

I do love the story being told here, btw. Aces & 8's is now a threatening force due to Bully having the belt. Sting is the old guard that's got the spirit, but the flesh just ain't what it used to be. He's going to lose and it'll be time for someone younger to take the baton.
