Just a reminder how dumb Cena's 5 Knuckle Shuffle really is. Unrelated gesture followed by pointless bounce off the ropes in to what is nothing more than a punch.

I rewatched WM29. 2 times so far.
It was a solid WM. The pacing of the show killed the crowd. Punk/taker , HHH/Bork and then the Cena match all back to back. No rest for the crowd.
I rewatched the Cena match, the ending with the talking was pretty emotional. It wasn't a bad match, it just couldnt follow the last two matches..

Smiths: This is all developing as I write this, but WWE is working re-write massive parts of tonight's Raw as The Rock is not there as originally planned.
Anyone watching the last 2 months shouldn't be surprised by this.

I don't need to rewatch it. This was another in a long line of forgettable, PG-era Wrestlemanias, just like the last five or so before it. Face it, the Cena era is bland, boring and pointless. The past really was better. I know because I've rewatched many moments and those hold up way better than anything Cena, Orton, or Triple H have done as the top dogs. They are unworthy successors.
Yeah I sound like the smarkiest of smarks but fuck it, I don't care. They suck. All of them suck. Attitude Era was better. The 80s were better. New Generation was better. This era sucks shit through a straw. If it wasn't for CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, I wouldn't even watch. Again, I realize how cliche that sounds. Doesn't matter. It's fucking true.

Forgettable?
I'll remember the punk taker match until I go senile.
Look at some of the history made BESIDES the attendance thing.
How many WRESTLEMANIA firsts?
Rollins, reigns, Ambrose, Ryback, fandango, Big E and Paul Heymans first WM as a manager.(look it up)

It's fucking true. They have a good roster, they just bury it too far down the card: Punk DBry Ziggler Kane (in comedy) Cesaro Cody Barrett The Shield Kofi (ringwork, not mic)

It's the little wins in life.
We had Ambrose with a PINFALL at WM.
Punk went OLD SCHOOL on Taker
TRIPLE HHH had a shock master moment.

Fandango - Remains to be seen. Better than expected but he had the jobber to the stars in there. Big E - Pointless match to get Ziggler and Hell No on the PPV. I'd argue the only good things were continuing to build The Shield (Although buried on the card) and I will say giving Heyman his spot was good.

Omg.
There truly are those who refuse to see ANY positives here.
I paid 60$. I should be at the front of the bitch committee here.
I say WM wasnt as bad as it could have been.
Brock only gives a damn about $. Why would they put him over?
Fandango for lack of a better gimmick is owning it and that leg drop off the top rope is killer.
I will say we DIDNT need 6 rock/Cena promos in the PPV. Those who are watching already know what's going on. No need to preach to the choir. Diddy was a dump...
Matches were good.
I'm not saying you can't complain, but at least consider the positives.
In 10 years, the Rock/Cena feud will be seen a lot differently. People will look back and say...remember when feuds meant something? Rock v Cena was a year long storyline. At least the WWE believed and hung in there, blah blah blah..

The problem with Wrestlemania being meh is IT'S WRESTLE FUCKING MANIA
it should never, EVER be bland. a boring chant at wrestlemania should be the worst fucking thing anyone ever hears, especially when the crowd has 80,000 people in it.
you figure, if the chant is fucking audible in THAT stadium, it's either terrible mic placement or it's a whole lot of people.
I can't take two matches at Wrestlemania and say the whole show was good if the rest of the show was fucking awful. And those two matches ended exactly as most expected them to. I figured they'd actually pull the trigger on Brock "retiring" Triple H because they certainly wouldn't let Punk win after Bearer died. But no, the best two matches on the show ended as expected.
There are positives, but you should never, EVER have to FIND positives for WRESTLEFUCKINGMANIA. It's supposed to kick your goddamn ass so hard you wonder why you haven't been buying PPV's right along, or feel justified for doing so if you have. It should make you absolutely thrilled to have seen it live. I mean shit, I was skeptical as all hell before last year's show and it delivered in SPADES.
How did this miss so badly?
Oh well, new year, new script as of 3 hours ago. LET'S ROLL

When you are referring to their premier event of the year using the phrase "little wins" there is a serious problem with the product.
In 10 years they won't say "It was a year long feud." (because it wasn't). They will say "That was the year their reliance on part timers and past glory, burying the rest of the roster, squandering some very good talent, and setting the tone for the decline of the company." Unless something changes very quickly they're going to be in trouble. They just don't see it because the quarterly financials look good right now.

Smiths: This is all developing as I write this, but WWE is working re-write massive parts of tonight's Raw as The Rock is not there as originally planned. The word backstage is that he left for Los Angeles this morning. WWE sources indicate this caught the company completely off guard and there's a lot of heat on Rock at the moment. This is not a planned angle to sell Rock being upset over losing the WWE title. He was worked into their plans going forward and there had been talk of shooting a major angle with Rock to begin building Wrestlemania 30, possibly an angle with Undertaker or Brock Lesnar (we've heard both discussed but mostly Lesnar) and all that is out the window now. My money is on Rock gave himself a hernia carrying Cena's dead weight through that match.
