I forgot that's how you're supposed to do it!

Smiths: oooooooooooooh dammit Aries. DAMN LOGIC he gets the stipulation that the X-Division champ gets a title shot, making having the belt worthwhile a thing... then decides "fuck it, you take away my champ matches, i get X division belt" JESUS CHRIST THAT'S HOW AJ GETS BACK IN. I forget the specifics on that stipulation, wasn't it just a once a year at X PPV you can do it, or was it something else?

Since missus smiths and i are awaiting a bank decision on a short sale, i look forward to ranting about wiring some day with you as I finish a basement. nice place too, will be a fucking steal if bank approves of the #. 99% chance they won't but who knows. good luck, man. I know that short sales are infinitely complicated, but if you can get the bank to agree, then you're gold!

i'm STILL not sure how this will end! Aries can take advantage of RVD's knee for the win, or RVD can overcome the injury to pull out the win.
TNA, y u no book the obvious?

Creationist Ape: Impact - "seriously it's been two hours? i love it. honestly. just a great two hours." Raw - "holy shit, it's only been 2 hours?" exactly. 100% exactly. I third that. Good show. As much as I hate relationship angles, the Brooke/Bully/Hulk/AA deal worked alright for me.

Ed Becker: Good show. As much as I hate relationship angles, the Brooke/Bully/Hulk/AA deal worked alright for me. Maybe they learned their lesson from the Claire Lynch abortion. They worked it into Aries going for the X-Division Title and seemingly building towards Bully Ray vs. Aries (possibly at the next PPV). Also there wasn't a lot of Brooke onscreen. Most importantly, THEY DIDN'T BRING THE SHOW TO A SCREECHING HALT FOR 20 MINUTES AND BORE EVERYONE TO DEATH. Maybe the WWE will learn their lesson after their shitty AJ/Cena angle is done. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, yeah right...

Black ops 2 is pretty solid. I really can;t complain too much.
The kids are getting shipped off to the aunt's tonight. By 7 PM my wife and I will be alone. All you married people know what THAT means! Ah yeeeeeah, early bedtime.
*Last week, on Hoganpiece Theater...
*I giggled at the "give you some stuffing" line from AA again. SOOOO much better as a heel.
*HOGAN
*"MY DAUGHER IS 24 YERS OLD BROTHER. HOW DARE SHE HAVE SEX?! NOW EXCUSE ME WHILE I CHEAT ON YOUR MOM WITH MY BEST FRIENDS WIFE, BROTHER."
*24? I mean, let's be clear - I'd hit it. Thought she was 30ish.
*Brooke Hogan ... ACTING. "Please stop, it's not what you think. We haven;t even DONE anal yet".
*LMFAO AA. "Man this desk is uncomfortable to lay on. How do you do it Brooke?" Godamnit so much. Do I really have to put up with god awful "my grown daughter is having sex and I don't like it" to get quality promo's from AA?
*Hemme pan up. Me gusta.
*Gail Kim is hot. Even if she DID marry that douche from food network.
*Mickie James too? Hey, this match should actually involve good wrestling
*AJ Styles is 100% right. STFU about the title Storm.
*Ok... so if you have the title twice, that means you've lost it 3 times? WTF AA?
*White dude with dreds is Jobber to the Stars
*COUNTRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
*"ZIMA ION IS GAY HUR DUR"
*Super Kayfabe Gut Check is even worse then normal Kayfabe Gut Check
*Oops on the audio goof during Hogan's promo
*Cena spittle on AA
*HOGAN to end the show. Great.
*Well it was better then last week, that's for damn sure

How you people cannot shit all over this "My daughter is a grown woman but I will still act like I have a fucking say" Lifetime reject storyline when hating the same kind of bullshit on the WWE is beyond me. IT. IS. TERRIBLE.

yep confirmed less PPVs and that the stories are basically planned out months in advance with TV drafts written weeks in advance with only minor tweaks here and there. Seems any changes in a "shotgun booking" method are just when Hogan decides to involve himself. Aside from that, this Gut Check leading up to D-Lo with Wes was planned for a while. Me gusta. NOW KEEP IT LIVE If only those stories wern;t fucking awful, I'd be okay with that.

jimfromsaintpaul: How you people cannot shit all over this "My daughter is a grown woman but I will still act like I have a fucking say" Lifetime reject storyline when hating the same kind of bullshit on the WWE is beyond me. because of the people involved. Vickie, the heel, has been right the entire time. AJ and Cena, the faces, have been lying the entire time. Cena has been physically assaulting people for telling the truth. More than that, however, is the fact that they specifically pointed out that this is a storyline that didn't need to happen. With AJ out as manager, she's free to date whomever she wants. So why hide/deny anything? Worse yet is the continual burial of Ziggler. What should/could have been a great moment for him, a way to build up his character and potential as MITB holder, ended with Super Cena pinning him clean. Who cares now? In TNA, you have Hogan being an irrational parent, but neglecting his duties as boss. And they actually point it out! There is a point to this. Plus, Bully Ray is a much more sympathetic character than Cena. Heel or face, the fans love him! But also, it's an entirely different dynamic. All the time they've spent in the last few weeks on this storyline is still less than the AJ/Vickie segment ON THE GODDAMN PAY PER VIEW. That's why we're (so far) accepting of the TNA story and shitting on the WWE story.

The idea is they never were yet decided to say "screw it, if I am going to have to deal with those every week then there is worse things to be accused of". Never lied.
Well at least I understand why the no massive complaining about the TNA version of this crap.
IMO, dumbass storyline is dumbass. The multitude of segments in the wwe version insults my intelligence. The "24 year old somehow has to answer about her sex life to her dad" is insulting from the get go.

jimfromsaintpaul: IMO, dumbass storyline is dumbass.Yes. Totally agree with this statement. I guess since I'm carny drunk, I'll rant on relationship angles. I hate them. They never work, with the possible exception of the Randy/Liz "wedding" and ODB/EY just because they're so goddamned entertaining. I'm hard pressed to recall one that did anything that had a groan for a reaction for the blowoff or the usual "can I have those X minutes of my life back?" Relationship angles are forced. More so, IMO, than damn near any angle in wrestling. The WWE marks might be eating up AJ/Cena, but remember, they're WWE marks. They anticipate seeing Vince's sphincter opening to yield the loaf that they gladly consume. AJ's over with them. So is Cena. It's still stupid. Wow. That was a lot of vodak I just poured in the pintglass. Even by my standards. Brooke/Bully is stupid too. The execution is better. Bully's an awesome promo. AA douching it up was great. It seems more natural than AJ/JC. In fact, I'll offer this: WWE seems so forced. The promos and the matches. Not much seems organic, for lack of a better term. I understand that 3 hours live on Monday is a difficult task to say the least. Think about this: the monthly PPV outside of WrestleMania is 3 hours long. Too many moving parts. Talent, video packages, the whole shmear. WWE is now most importantly for their business plan a content provider for Universal. It probably works out best for WWE and Universal in that WWE content is obviously cheaper to produce than a drama, does better in the ratings than a rerun and generates more revenue for both parties. Look, ratings don't mean what they used to anymore. There are more players in the game than there were during the Monday Night Wars. That pool is so diluted now. People can go so many other places than USA or years ago, TNT, TBS or TNN/Spike. I would seriously doubt that RAW breaks a 3 unless the product gets hotter than fuck. Spike is most likely fine with TNA's performance. Spike is owned by CBS/Viacom. I can speak of ratings not meaning a fuck from personal experience from 20 years ago. There's a radio station here in Milwaukee that has the call letters of WLUM. 102.1 on your FM dial. I did 5 years there. Owned by Willie Davis. An African American who was a part of the the "Glory Years" Green Bay Packers in the '60's. Who was really smart with his money. In the late '80's/early '90's WLUM was known as "Hot 102." It was a younger leaning "hot CHR." Hot meant young, CHR means contemporary hit radio. Top 40. They had ratings up the ass. Every god damned kid in Milwaukee listened to that station. The problem? Kids buy soda and tickets to Great America. They don't buy cars, jewelry, put roofs on houses, refinance homes, etc. They would eventually change format in the mid '90's to alternative to go after 18-34's over the 12-18's that Hot 102 was getting. They blew it up because it wasn't generating revenue. Their numbers overall went down but they were able to sell better, more revenue. The radio company I work for now does not subscribe with Arbitron. We get nothing from them and we do not see where we are. Since we don't pay for the ratings book, we are not included in the ratings. The sales people sell on relationships with advertisers. It probably makes it more difficult to sell to agencies. We are far from being jabroni's. Arbitron, especially with the PPM subscription, is the difference between subscribing or getting rid of employees. Please ask if I need to smarten you up to radio ratings. Anyways, with WWE and TNA, it's all about revenue. Universal and Viacom. They're content providers that use professional wrestling. WWE will always have the upper hand on that brand. Not my deal, but it is what it is.
