i like that they pointed out Wes' botches.
It's cool to see people like the Gut Check judges pay attention to things like that.

Ed Becker: Aw, shit. Buzzkill time: Buddy Roberts died today at 65. Great heat generator, almost always did the job for the Freebirds in a way that they never lost their heat. RIP Buddy. One of the great tag team wrestlers. Sad.

Random Trivia -- Daniels and Kaz both played the same character in TNA
who was that character?
(you'd better know this, people)

Ed Becker: What is Suicide? i love that he was created for the video game, and TNA had to eventually make him an actual wrestler.

damn good match! Really, you put any combination of those 4 in the ring and the worst you can do is a 3-star match.

TNA needs to do a Bay Area PPV. The Cow Palace is the perfect location for them.

If it was Kash or Ion, I'd say RVD was going to retain.
RVD vs A Double, tho? I genuinely don't know how it will go. I want to say that Aries will win, probably dirty. but at the same time defeating him will strengthen RVD as a champion.

I want to say that Aries will win, probably dirty. but at the same time defeating him will strengthen RVD as a champion. but RVD does not need to be the fucking champion. i hate that decision and have yet to see any payoff to why the fuck they did it. I still think they made a mistake, not giving the belt to Joey Ryan. But RVD has enough name cred that whoever does beat him for the X belt will/should be considered worthy of it.

Smiths: what was the issue in WWE that led to him leaving? I think he was just Future Endeavored via roster cuts.

Smiths: but is it too little too late. honestly beating RVD just doesn't feel like a challenge. he does the same 5 moves. learn how to block them. you win. I don't disagree. That's why I referred to his name cred. Even the casual fans from back in the Attitude Era remember him. They show up to a free rasslin show at Universal, and he's one of the names they know. So if someone can beat him and take his title, those casual fans could be impressed, and may start watching TNA. Of course, I feel that the role of all the veterans in TNA should be to help get the younger talent over, so i think that is what RVD is hopefully going to do.

Smiths: D-Lo becomes judge #3. He lets Wes in D-Lo is in A8s jesus christ. it fucking WORKS i was thinking the exact same thing! Get an A&8 member into the company legitimately, as well as one of the backstage people. totally works!

I still don't get why Morgan's finisher is called the Carbon Footprint. He doesn't have some goofy environmentalist/clean energy gimmick, it's just a non sequitur.

Smiths: goddamn. brilliant. i don't care about the haters. this is perfect. Wes with D Lo with Angle and all the A8s ties in bit by bit, the pieces are starting to fit together. I'm even OK with the slow pace, as long as there is a real payoff in the future.

That Inkmaster show is crazy. I wonder if any of those "human canvases" watch the show and then freak out because the judges won't stop talking about how shitty the tattoo they just got was.
