The storys and booking itself are fine and makes sense on paper.. It's the delivery that tends to fail more often than the actual writing and booking.. Only a a small group can deliver a storyline properly and only one is in the main event. Bully-Fucking-Ray.. Another one is barely on television... Mr. Anderson.. Joseph Parks is held hostage... And Christopher Daniels is.. Well he's doing ok.. I like the world tag team champions... Of the world. |

I just realized this but, fuck. I'm on the air until 7p at the radio ranch. I can get to the bar where I have the tubes of inter. The Packers are the Sunday night game which means the bar will be full for the game. I can't get to a river at the station.
I can pull my manager card at the bar, and go downstairs. But Fuuuuuuuuck.... I wanna see this PPV.

Only tonight did I get the notion of jeff being more focused on.I could have missed something earlier, of course. I tend to drink and delight with the tv show tna presents Because that's the first time they even hinted at it. Except they didn't hint. Verbaltoxin/Lingualvenom: I wasn't totally put off by it, because heel is basically Aries' natural state, but I don't know, this match really shouldn't have been booked anyway. I guess they did it because Hardy's one of their few, proven draws, but I'm still ho-hum about it. It'll probably be a good match, but the booking hasn't made me excited about it. I find myself doing this a lot with TNA. The booking is mediocre but the wrestling's good.
After I thought about it for a while, I like it. If it was Bully Ray vs. Aries that would definitely have made for some interesting booking, but a bit more challenging if Aries' "natural state" (as you put it, and as I would define it too) is as a heel. Bully as the bad-guy-with-the-common-enemy in Aces & 8's has a lot more intrigue than Team Facepaint vs. Team Sons of Anarchy. Can you imagine how schmaltzy, how even more full of hyperbole that whole angle would be if Jeff Hardy was Sting's partner? So yeah, I'm OK with this. In fact, I'd argue this is one of those times where the company shouldn't listen to the smarks. Sting and Hardy would have had everyone going ZOMG REMEMBER THAT ONE PPV that they don't want anyone to remember. It doesn't even matter if Aries vs. Bully would have been better. I could see the argument that Joe should have won the BFG series but Joe vs. Magnus is YES YES YES so....
