Ya know I gave it a few weeks to make sure they didn't fuck it up and.. They didn't. I really like the fact TNA has an exlusive female ref for the knockouts matches and is actually just there to ref and not be involved in some stupid angle. Agreed. |

Things the Aces and 8's storyline could've done better:
- Explain why they can extort and kidnap people, and nobody's called the cops.
- Explain why they care about or even want to fuck with TNA in the first place.
- Explain why the two prospects who were unmasked wore masks again the next week.
- Not do the, is he/isn't he bullshit with James Storm. That should've been for Bully Ray or Samoa Joe.
- Explain why Hogan and Sting couldn't ID any of them when they were at the clubhouse.
- Explain that the Alien mask dude is the Vice President, meaning there's a PRESIDENT AND HE'S PROBABLY THE FUCKING LEADER.
- Quashed any rumors Jeff Jarrett was within ten miles of this angle.
- And promptly rewrote their script so Jarrett wasn't in it.
- Not have them run off like chickenshits all the time.
- Not have them get punked by 50 year old men.
I'm sure I forgot some.

I wasn't totally put off by it, because heel is basically Aries' natural state, but I don't know, this match really shouldn't have been booked anyway. I guess they did it because Hardy's one of their few, proven draws, but I'm still ho-hum about it. It'll probably be a good match, but the booking hasn't made me excited about it. I find myself doing this a lot with TNA. The booking is mediocre but the wrestling's good.

The storys and booking itself are fine and makes sense on paper.. It's the delivery that tends to fail more often than the actual writing and booking.. Only a a small group can deliver a storyline properly and only one is in the main event. Bully-Fucking-Ray.. Another one is barely on television... Mr. Anderson.. Joseph Parks is held hostage... And Christopher Daniels is.. Well he's doing ok..
