What is going on with all the guest IP visits from Ashburn VA today? We have had 157 unique visitors in the past 24 hours, most of them coming out of Ashburn. It's friggin bizarre. Methinks someone is messing around with proxies or something?

Yeah but did you look at the guest list? All these hits occur within the span of about 2 hours, well over 120 of them, starting at 8:57 this morning and abruptly ending at 10:54. All unique. It's just damn weird.

no... cuz.... i dunno how  At the bottom of the home page you'll see three boxes - Forum Statistics, Users online and Active users in the last 24 hours. In the last box, it'll show that 5 staff members, 11 members and 158 guests have been to the site. The "guests" is a hotlink that pops up the IP addresses that stopped by without logging on. HK, I'm going to take a WAG that these are either bots looking to spam the Hell out of us or there's a dial up user looking at the board... a lot. |

No need to. Not every computer nerd knows every piece of software in the world. Once you get used to a class of software, you can pretty much figure out how to fix it without having to be able to use it. To be honest, I can't code - but I can figure out how to determine what IP comes from where. We all have our strengths.
