Interesting read. Kev's a smart guy, but him shitting on the smaller guys rings hollow, IMO, since he wasn't over until he was put with one.

So, even over the course of a long interview he's still a dick.
Wasn't his reign as WWE champ one of those where ratings plummeted?

This was a good article. Lately, the wrestling writer over at Grantland has been putting out really REALLY mark-ish articles, slobbering over Vince and Cena. I had almost given up on him before I read this.
Also, Grantland rules in general.

I'm not sure slobbering over Nash and to a lesser degree Hulk is much better.

I take Nash's comments as those coming from an older school mentality. The 80s-90s for wrestling were an especially crazy time. The really old guys usually don't cut people down like that, but notice how a lot of them never totally, 100% break kayfabe, even today. Mad Dog Vachon lives in Omaha. I know where he lives. If I got to meet him, he'd still be Mad Dog. He would be Maurice maybe 20% of the time, whenever his wife was talking to him, for example. If he was talking to me though, he'd be Mad Dog w/ a missing leg and wheelchair.
My point is Kevin Nash is always going to be talking himself up and how great his generation was. He saw guys like Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero and others as second tier, and he'll never change his opinion on that. Take it or leave it.

I'll leave it. The guy is an ass and a subpar wrestler.
