Smiths: dougieaxp: Man, I wish I had run into that Fark thread about GD earlier, I would have loved to set those worshippers straight....glad to see Shark fought the good fight.
what was funnier was others who are NOT the "fWc" and "suicide by mod squad" actually calling it out.
Surreal.

Cena shoving Punk aside so he can brawl with Big Show is basically the last few weeks in a two second nutshell.

Decent Raw. Not too much silliness. Maybe its because I had no expectations. Maybe because I'm tired as hell.

Raw goes to 3 hours, fark thread count doesn't make a Gredunza. Not saying there aren't other contributing factors but damn Vince...you have fucked up.

(NO LONGER IN CHARACTER, YOU CAN TELL BY THE LACK OF GIANT TEXT AND FROM SEEING A NUMBER OF SENILE VINCE POSTS IN YOUR TIME)
Really awesome to see some more people from the community flocking to here. I still don't know about the name Fluttershy, but I can roll with it since it reminds me of ponies (which there seems to be a distinct lack of).
We need a new Gredunza number. I'm gonna throw 371 out there, because it was the first three-digit number I thought of.

Lost power again right when Show... showed. Guess I didn't miss anything.
Raw actually hasn't been half bad the last couple of weeks. It hasn't been half good either, but that's still an improvement.

Not a bad show, I didn't find myself absolutely loathing anything like previous weeks. (Constant HHH/Lesnar recaps came close, but they cut them short instead of playing 90% of the promo like last week.) On the other hand, nothing was really all that good, it was a pretty bland show. Three hour shows just feel like a chore, and since WWE refuses to do anything with their midcard it's just more filler and bullshit. Can it get better? Will they bother trying to make it better? Yeah, I don't know either, dude... This is how every Raw thread should end, with Man Mountain Rock, arms extended in a showing of uncertainty.

There's definitely some star power, and plenty of hard workers. They just need something interesting to do. Given some non-shitty writing, and RAW could be really good. But right now, it's falling squarely into the valley between good and bad. In other words, boring.
People will tune in for a good show, or even a bad one. They won't tune in for boring.

"Fluttershy Wrestling Collective" is the name I pulled out of thin air because dammit, I LIKE ponies. It also fit the FWC initials, so the T-shirts still work out for folks. I believe we were using replies 150 and 300 here for the belts, but to be honest, I've been dead tired the last couple of weeks (thank you too early alarm clock) and I'm not absolutely certain I remember my own name without looking at my ID badge.

Smiths: FYI: I am laughing my ass off at P$'s taking the piss out of the Fark thread. it's funny as hell.
everyone that is like "we didn't need the cliquey stuff screw you" knows they loved it.
This post in particular
No LARPs no drama. Over the past year that it what this degenerated into. If anything it was a shell of it's former self at WM, well before the Lurkers decided to come out and play.
If anything, this place needed a shakeup where it was less about gimmicks and more about the wrestling. The fact that it took this long says something about how cliquy the fWc had become. If you weren't in with the Broski PAC, the Blackjack and Hookers, the 37 flavours of Sin Cara, or weren't all about the Gagne, you were a nobody. You were forever destined to Superstars with no chance of being on the main show.
or... you just never had anything good to say and that's why you sucked.
I don't think people realize the LARP crap stopped like at Survivor Series last year or before.
I was never in any "faction". I was just drunk a lot and cynical and hated AJ being the "need something for Kane to do because we brought him back and have no idea what to do with him" role.
He was upset because they were using the chickenscratch logo I made in photoshop for the membership badges. I personally don't care, they have as much right to them as anybody does, but it upset P$ apparently, and he went on a worldwide tear while I slept. I suspect he was deep in his beers at the time.

So Smiths, what happens if your warning level finally creeps up to 100%? Is that like an automatic banning or something? Because that would essentially mean you banned yourself which I think would be the most meta thing to ever happen to Smiths on the interwebs.

Speaking as one of those lurkers who only ever read the threads the next morning and posted maybe twice, the LARPing never really struck me as that bothersome (other than the occasional "You people fight like crap!" that stems from experience with RPing), nor the ponies, or the armbras (Though I did appreciate them becoming linked instead of inlined what with being at work and all.) Honestly, what struck me more was the growing animosity between some people and how it felt like it was getting less about getting together to enjoy and poke fun at things and more about tearing anything and everything a new one. The big one that sticks in my mind was from a couple months back with FNB, Smiths, and HeartburnKid over AJ, and how that exploded into a giant ball of uncomfortable. Granted, after poking around here, I think I have a better understanding of why a lot of that anger boiled over, it still felt like it went too far. I'm not saying we have to be all happy, lovey-dovey, frou-frou about it, but a little bit of courtesy and respect couldn't hurt. It's just wrestling, afterall.

And guess who made the AJ thing an issue...
The same person who claims the LARPing was a problem and spammed the thread with ponies.

I have already given a mea culpa in relation to the AJ debacle, but since it comes up again I will do so again. I was off my meds I swear. I'm not an AJ fan but I really don't care about her that much either. I still feel bad about it. :-(
My more recent argument with a certain individual however I was genuinely angry when I lost my temper. No appy polly loggies.
And FTR: The gredunza battles are LARPing. A competition by grown adults for a fake wrestling belt is a LARP. I personally always thought the LARPing was a fun interaction between everyone, and I missed it when it went.
Except for the belt competitions, which no one seemed to want to admit was LARPing, or folks were willing to overlook it I guess.

I don't get the complaints about "cliquy"
Hells balls, one of the first drawbacks said about being here was the fear of no "new blood".
As far as the Broski-pac goes, half the members have forgotten or don't realize they are "in" it. And it sure as hell was never a gang of posters who tried to shit on people.
As membership director, allow me to say, if you want in, just ask. You're in. Unless you're some kind of tool.
On second thought, don't ask, because your presence here indicates that you are probably some kind of tool.

Well, as a counter apology, I did not mean for my example to call you out like that, it was just the first example that came to mind of stuff going beyond what I felt was the more light-hearted back and forth. I don't hold it against you; I'm more thankful for all the stuff you did for the group by far.
