Yes. Turisas rules. I saw them a few months ago in Toronto with Alestorm. Always a good show.
I've been happy with the new releases from both Be'lakor and King of Asgard. Also, Ensiferum is releasing a new album near the end of the month. It's been a good time for me and my ears. Here's the new Ensiferum offering:

I don't care how lame it makes me, but Placebo are still my favorite band, and this is my favorite song of theirs.
As to my favorite solo artist, that's this guy (and this my favorite of his singles)

Yeah, I'm lame. I like pretty much any music aside from country (From Abba to ZZ Top...). Been listening to Neutral Milk Hotel and The Lion's Science a lot lately.

I usually get my new stuff from Music Choice these days. :-) I have not listened to Wolfgang Gartner or Flight of the Conchords so I will have to give them a listen. As of late I have been dipping my toes in the water of SBTRKT and Friendly Fires. Was just listening to Airdrawndagger by Sasha and I had forgotten what fucking amazing album that is.

If I've seen these guys once, I've seen them 30 times. Here's some raw footage from a Rockford TV station of a 7/4/79 gig at the Winnebago County Fairgrounds in Pecatonica, IL just west of their native Rockford. Bonus: I announced a big money demolition derby there in the early '00's where they fucked up my name on a Travel Channel documentary.
