Facebook was confusing to follow conversations on and we hate giving the IHOSP (International House of Slutty Pancakes) page clicks.
So, what do we do?
Well, since nothing moves faster than a pissed off old bat, I decided to give us a new forum. We can create REAL topics. We can make REAL discussion threads.
Now, the rules:
AW's will get slapped down at speed, no matter who they send BIE to.
If there is a problem, bring it to Auntie Cheesus.
I'm lazy, so I will not be filtering language.
Oh, and the most important rule of all - have fun!

Hey, it's HBK. Since I'm not tied to my handle from 10 years ago here, I figured I'd sign up with the one I'm currently using. For some reason, I've found that having "Kid" in my name serves as an invitation for people to talk down to me, so I'm trying to get away from it.
I think I'm going to take a break from Fark for a while. It's just not much fun these days. I might switch over to Reddit instead. I'll still be a part of this group, of course. fWc 4 Life!

HOW DOES REDDIT EVEN WORK? I have serious trouble following Reddit's format as well. It seems the little band across the top is the topics list, and if you actually sign up, you can pick what topics you subscribe to. I've taken to using a customized Google News feed lately to get my information from. A former friend of mine (and an AW that would put Fark's AW to shame, if only I had discovered that sooner) once did an IAmA thread on there. She admitted to seeing Reddit threads in her sleep for a couple of days after that. Threaded discussion boards like that are impossible to follow most of the time. |

Well, my Fark sabbatical lasted all of one morning. Boredom at work is a powerful thing. And you guys are right, Reddit's navigation is impossible; add to that the fact that my work blocks imgur (which about 75% of Reddit threads link to), and that was a non-starter.
I'll still be hanging with you guys for Impact, though.

I don't think anyone here is advocating a full boycott of Fark. Just a boycott of commenting (which I haven't fully done) and buying Totalfark. As I noted in another thread, my TF subscription ends in a few days and it is NOT set to renew. If Drew does the right thing (let Smiths back in, proverbially bitch slap GD and Tony) before the 28th; I'll reconsider.
On things being predictable- that's very true. Look at the thread about the Penn State report. I read 1 page of it and it was exactly how every other thread on it went. It's the same shit every day.

I stumbled across this in the Impact thread and thought this location would be a good place to drag it to. I'm not favoring anyone, it's just the part that caught my eye. Plus, not a bad post count for this board's first impact thread all things considered. I'm not sure if you folks can see the exact size of the membership here, but it's not big. The current number is 38 members. The fact that we had 229 posts in the Impact thread and 369 posts for RAW is astonishing to me. For me, this place is very much like my old BBS - it's a bit of an electronic house party, with the advantage of I don't have to make sure I've remembered to vacuum the carpets and locked away the cats before people show up. I would hope that no one here thinks the rest of us will feel "betrayed" by people also reading and posting over at FARK. I sure as Hell don't. I simply don't have the server capacity, the bandwidth, the coding skills, the money or the inclination to put together something in the vein of FARK. My intent, with this place and the FB group was to allow for people to vent, not to breed resentment. In case you folks don't realize it, I would be happy to have any and all of you to my home. So, should any of you be headed for the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, shoot me a PM and I'll set something up for when you get here. |

I was fine with most of the posts over on the FARK boards. The ponies were usually appropriate, and often funny to me, as well as about 95% of the shopped pics as well. The only things i had problems with were when people would LARP. And most of the time, the LARPing ran througout the show, and annoyed the crap out of me. The occasional *chairshot* was fine, but when there's 40 minutes left in the show and people are stealing gredunza belts with 8009479 chairshots or "selling moves" it was kinda ruining it for me.
I liked reading the TNA thread. Everything was on topic(mostly) and it still seemed like it was an fWc thread. Just with more cursing. I wonder what the Raw thread will be, and how many more people will come over. It was interesting to see that the FARK thread's spam post # looked waaaay down.

I found this place from the Impact thread the other day. I just want to say that the wrestling threads on Fark are pretty much all I ever read. I'm a super lurker and I don't post much to avoid spoilers b/c I usually watch all the shows DVR'd. But I enjoy those threads so much. Most are entertaining and some even educational. All the belts amuse me greatly. So with all that said, I will stalk you guys wherever you go. So keep up the good work  |

About time, assfucktwin OMG! Yay GMJ! Awesome! Funny story about the Ass Fuck Twins. My ex and his friend had gone to see one of the Austin Powers movies in the theater years ago. I can't remember which one. Anywho, there is this party scene in Austin's pad and these two cute little Asian chicks appear on the screen. My ex and his friend in unison shout out "Hey, it's the Ass Fuck Twins!" in the middle of the crowded theater full of kids. Many dirty looks were given to them, and few fucks were given by them, lol. Good times.
