Even a DBD win is a loss for WWE. We were all so ready for the seemingly inevitable screwjob that we couldn't actually enjoy the moment of victory. THIS and then breaking bad happened... I GIVE UP. UNCLE. Tapping out..

Consider just how shitty these stories are: even the sheets are saying HHH will reverse the decision on Raw. Nobody is willing to give WWE credit for anything short of bullshit.

I had no interest in RAW. I watched the last hour or so and it was meh. Nice pop for the babyface mid carders run in at the end. Just too heavy handed for even me. And that shit just beats down. Should the baby be on top? Not always. Should the heels totally dominate and kill everything? No. Show had a lot of buzzkill.
Also, fuck that noise. I'm getting a new to me car that's right in my wheelhouse. For free. Except for a starter and a heater core. I'll be going from a '92 Crown Vic to a '98 Town Car. I'm familiar with the TC and I'd drive it anywhere. God fucking damn do I love Lincolns. Similar to the Vic mechanically. I've had a '79, an '89 TC and now a '98. Don't step in dogshit, barf or throw your shit on the floor and I won't kill you. YAY DRIZUNK!
Also, Dougie... don't sweat it bud... I might have been there. Maybe that's why I like cars and trying to get work that I dig.

Okay, here's the deal... WWE booking has the McMahon clan being the heavies and babies are being fucked eight ways to Sunday. In this day and age it's fatiguing as fuck. People are getting fucked at their jobs, many don't know what they're gonna get for healthcare at work or if they're gonna have to pull that money out of their asses.
Wrong time to do this.
My theory is just that. People are tired of that shit sandwich and then they tune into a show where the underdogs win but then they don't. It's buzzkill. Overbooked to fuck. Too many swerves lose the people. Fuck you Bonnie Hammer. And fuck you WWE for letting them get under your skin.
And then there's the whole thing about TNA looking to get off the road and soon. It kills me, I never said I saw it coming, but I did. Mickey's out, Hulk's contract is coming up. They seem to be in a world of shit. Do they keep a few guys and then bring in others to work for $150? Fuck if I know.

In the past few months I have had my employer decide they didn't want to pay promised residuals and commissions. They've discussed increasing our portion of healthcare. They screwed sales guys out of tens of thousands of dollars.... So, yeah, a story line about dickhead bosses is not exactly a nice break from reality.

And I'll expound on this: Austin/McMahon worked because it was Steve and Vince. It worked. They worked. I was backstage and in the camera pit at the Raw where Austin kidnapped Vince in the wheelchair at gunpoint. The one where at the end, Austin wheeled Vince through backstage and into the ring, pulled the gun on Vince and "Bang 3:16" made Vince piss himself. When they shot that, I was backstage bullshitting with Droz. One of the agents, might have been Pat or Arnold, came through and told all of us to get behind something as they were shooting that live. I ducked behind some equipment, they shot it in real time and then, since I had an all access pass I went onto the arena floor where they had the camera on a crane. Crowd was going apeshit. One of the Prichards nudged me and said "this is gonna be good." Bang 3:16, piss, pop. Bonus: After that, backstage, Rock and Lawler were walking in, Jerry was giving Rocky shit about not taking any bumps. Rock took a slow motion bump and told Jerry to go fuck himself. Everyone laughed. /csb

Smiths: it also worked because Vince was willing to humiliate himself, overact, be a complete ass and give as well as take. He put himself on the line for that whole boom and that's what helped.
HHH so far has given nothing to remotely even make you think something will happen to him. And when he has a match with dBD? He'll dominate half of it, DBD wil dominate half of it, then it'll go into false finishes and a screwjob. That's why fans are weary.
Austin McMahon had long-term booking that kept building, going back, etc... To your first point, I agree. But it was also Vince and Austin. Also, whether it was Dick Ebersol or Bonnie Hammer, the NBC/Universal crowd has always loved the McMahons involved. Vince then worked because it hadn't been done by them until it led into the Mr. McMahon gimmick. Austin worked because he's just that good. Not the greatest worker by any means, but he understands psychology like few do anymore. And it's stale because we've been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. To your point on HHH, I agree with a lot. Yeah, you're gonna have your big guy/little guy spots, comeback and a fuck finish. We all see that coming. You can only turn the heat up so much until it burns the people out. You can have the greatest blowoff planned but if you scorch the fields out, there's nothing left to harvest. WWE has mostly, historically had babyface champs. You can still get heat on the McMahons. Why not keep the belt on the baby and have him overcome the stacked deck, even with a fluke finish. Baby ducks something, heel crashes and burns, gets a 3 count with no finisher. Heels go back and regroup, bitch about the baby, etc. Your final point is valid, but it's 5 minutes before air and here's the new format... bleh.
