REMEMBER WHEN CM PUNK WON MATCHES YEAH NOBODY REMEMBERS THAT HE'S THE WHINY BITCHASS NERD HEEL WHO ALWAYS HAS OTHER PEOPLE TO HELP HIM WIN BECAUSE THERE'S NO WAY THAT SHRIMP COULD EVER GO TOE-TO-TOE WITH A REAL CHAMPION, LIKE THE ROCK or JOHN CENA GOD I'M SO HAPPY THAT NERD IS GONE. ROCK GETS TO CHANGE THE BELT BECAUSE WHY WOULD CM PUNK EVER THINK TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT? THAT'S NOT REALISTIC AT ALL.
THIS IS THE GREATEST MOMENT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR BUSINESS.

January 21st: CM Punk @cmpunk I just tried to blow up Vince's head with my mind.
Obviously it didn't work.

Smiths: gunnyhighway : Ugh I try to have fun with this stuff but tonight just sucked. in japan, you... lord ginger... have remained the most optimistic of all of us. in our land... where cynicism and self-loathing are a staple of WWE threads... you have tried to stay the most positive. It is such that tonight, with a heavy heart, i must stab your eye socket with my erect penis and declare unto your newly annointed wife that you -- lord ginger -- are one of us. bend over, and accept my penis, oozing with the goo from your optical, into your anus. Hahahha. I need to go to bed. Indie wrestlers are trolling fans.

Overall, the match quality was high, but not a one of them ended with any surprise. The WWE could have really done something big here with any of the matches, but they chose not to do so. Instead, Hell No retained, ADR retained, Cesaro retained, Cena won just like we knew he would, and Rock won just like we knew he would.
The night was an exercise in futility. A well performed one, but a futile effort at doing anything exciting none the less.

Surely you all remember when WCW would have Hogan, Nash, Sting, Lex and Savage go over everyone week after week, and how sick of that we all got, right? We remember how nobody could break through that glass fucking ceiling, how we were sure Benoit, Guerrero, Saturn and others were stuck in midcard hell forever, yes? And we did something about it, right? We watched the competition who was putting on better shows with better matches, with newer guys, and giving overlooked guys their shot. This all happened, yes? I didn't imagine those years, right?
So why the fuck are we all going to tune in tomorrow? Why, exactly?

He didn't even have to win, just the chance. I just wish there was some way to have Taker win the WHC after a brutal match at WM (maintaining the streak) followed by a successful Dolph cash in on a battered and bloodied Undertaker. Instant nuclear heel heat.

Because none of us are Nielsen household and so therefore have no say over the ratings every week? Because the majority of us do not buy the PPV's so we are not funding Vince's need to make us unhappy?

So, I got back in town last night just in time to catch the Final Four of the Rumble and Punk/Rock. I feel like I just got Mass Effected.
Should I bother to download and watch the rest of the show?

The ADR/Show match was fun, and so was the Tag Team match, though both ended predictably.

Should I bother to download and watch the rest of the show? Yeah. Despite the frustrating predictability of the way the matches ended, they were all really well performed. It was a 4 match night (5 if you count the pre-show) and there were no bad matches. Even Miz/Cesaro was fine for what it was, at least until Miz tweaked his leg.

5 points
goddammit
I'm more pissed off because my guesses all were based around the idea that WWE would do something, anything, other than the painfully obvious.

Well I'll be damned! I'll take that second place finish, so I will, and not feel bad about my optimism and foolish hope in the face of the predictable. Second is a respectable score.
Although I will say I woke up this morning still cranky about Rhodes Scholars loss, it's actually the first thing that popped in my head. CM Punk I had kind of already given up hope on (despite my wishful thinking vote to the contrary), but goddammit, I really wanted to see Rhodes Scholars beat Team Hell No for a change.

Stolen from the mainland, credit goes to user "NakedReporta" If there was any doubt, it was the Shield. This is apparently a still from one of the strobe flashes that went off after the arena blacked out.

i still like how obvious Vince made the whole "i suck rock's dick" was when rock is laid out at side and has a mic and goes "restart match" and vince just goes "YEAH!!!!!!" Go back and watch "The promo" and what Punk said about Rock and Cena. He was absolutely shooting. And if they give Rock his own belt that confirms it.
