Dusty Warning. Mom had to say goodbye to her best friend tonight. She couldn't get up anymore and hadnt eaten in over a week. She cried all last night so my mom slept on the floor with her to calm her down so she would sleep. Goodbye Alexis. Wish I could have seen you one more time.  That sucks. Did she pass in your home? Our dog.. We knew she was going to go soon.. We didn't take her to the vet.. Dad woke up one morning. Went to the (heated) garage where her bed was and laid with her until she passed.. At home.. In her own bed. We refused have her put down in a strange place.. |

Yep she passed at home on that pillow she's laying near in the photo. Mom couldn't let her keep not eating. She called that at home vet to come see if she was sick or anything she could do to help her, the very nice vet told her that her hips were so bad that the pain meds weren't working anymore so my mom made the decision, the vet went out to her car with her tech and waited for my mom to come get them to let them back in.
They then took her and she'll get her back in a few days.
