Cm Punk is the only wrestler who can make a match with Big Show look good. Tag team match was okay...lotsa people wanted a tag team division without sucking. Just went and read the SD spoilers. Maybe I'm WWE'ed out right now. Not much they're doing right now does much for me, one of the reasons I kinda took Monday off. It seems that after looking at the ratings so far what the E's core likes is the stuff I don't care for. I'm waiting for the quarter hours.
I've said it elsewhere, I'll say it here: So many of us, myself included, made a cottage industry of shiatting on Vince for hotshotting everything. In the irony of ironies, they've been letting the whole AJ program run, giving it the time that should've been spent on any number of programs, i.e. Summer of Punk, turning that into the Neutering of Punk. Wouldn't be surprised that it's Vince's way of shiatting on smart fans, or his mindset is so far squirreled in the the bowels of his own universe that he doesn't care what anyone thinks but himself.
Thankfully, I missed the touting of Tout, but social media is where it's at, especially in the lower parts of his demo. People want to be part of the show and it's usually the younger folks that excel in being active. I can use my own line of work to highlight this: I've worked at stations that went after 18-34 males in both alternative and active rock formats. There was always someone on the request line. Now that I work at a classic rock that's towards the upper end of 25-54 with a strong 34-65, there are sometimes entire airshift without a call. I'm also including butt-dials in this. They will, however, respond to Facebook. On its base, one might think it's an apples and oranges argument, but I think it's a Red Delicious vs. Granny Smith in that social media is a way to communicate that people enjoy and are comfortable with. With Touting being part of the show they get almost free content. I say almost free because they've gotta pay people to assemble that content. I'm sure they've found a way to somehow sell it, too.
