I can't help to think of the AE.. Not about the cursing and tits.. but like.. The shit they would do to completely throw your smarkyness out the window.
When they were showing the MITB briefcase hanging above the ring right now I was thinking.. "What if they had someone like... Ambrose sneak up to the cat walk and pull up the briefcase and steal it before the PPV.."

He would have to low blow the ref first. this was so overdone it was like every heel was balls, finisher, 1-2-3 and by every heel I mean HHH and then when they started just hitting refs in the balls and pretending like "no his nuts were so horribly hurt he didn't have the where-with-all to call for the bell and his hands were too busy grabbing his nuts" so many unnecessary ball-busters; there were almost as many gratuitous nutshots as there were gratuitous boob shots

When they were showing the MITB briefcase hanging above the ring right now I was thinking.. "What if they had someone like... Ambrose sneak up to the cat walk and pull up the briefcase and steal it before the PPV.." i think that's what pisses people off... and it's funny as shit to watch smarks get worked and lose their shit Aries doing the Suicide swerve two weeks ago? yeah.. bunch of smark spoiler readers going "STUPID" but at same time, execution was awesome and it deifnitely was NOT something you remotely saw happening in anything leading up to it. BFG series business as usual, X-Division Sabin doing thing whatever.... then BANG. WWE doesn't even try that shit anymore. I wish they would. but they are too scared to mess with the formula. Or as High School Musical put it: Video Size:DefaultMediumLarge var pb_ad_url = "http://ads.proboards.com/ad.pl?as= 300x250&ap=BTF&f=3459779&s=3606&fc= 14&d=pancakewrestling.proboards.com &g=M&a=27&cb="+Math.random();docum ent.write(' '); i think we're excited for something like the Wyatts because it's something "new". definitely different. they not done a "Darker" character intro since The Shield and their "we come through crowd like guerrilla terrorists and also cost Ryback a match and not scared of the regulars". Everyone else? pen paper ctrl-c ctrl-v You goof on me for liking the indie guys but those are the guys who know how to work a gimmick because they can already go in the ring. I think WWE is realizing it and the show is getting better. I don't root for people to get hurt but maybe Cena missing a year or WM would be beneficial.

Here's the deal: WWE, TNA, and to a lesser extent ROH have their TV deals because they're content providers. It's cheaper, for instance, for Universal to partner up with Vince than it is to do Law & Order: Public Defecator. Also, there are a fuck ton more options for people to go to now than during the Monday Night Wars. Back then, your basic cable package had, outside of your maybe dozen local channels had maybe another 30-50 channels. Now that pie is getting cut up even more.
These networks and companies need content. They also need to sell time (commercials). That's how their bread gets buttered. Why do so many radio stations run Limbaugh, Alice Cooper, John Tesh, etc? They run these shows because the content is cheaper than having a local host because they barter out spots. Example: Alice Cooper's syndication gives an affiliate a satellite gimmick and the cost of the show is either zero or next to it. The station has to run his spots outside of the daypart that he airs and in return gets a window to run local spots. Shows like RAW and Impact work in a similar manner in that the network gets X amount of spots and the content provider gets X amount of spots. Both have their own sales forces. Both need to maximize the number of eyes and ears watching that show. That's just the way it is. That's why shows are laid out like they are. Hence the McMahons out going into the 3rd hour. Also remember that Vince has a longstanding relationship with Universal, going back to the NBC days and when the old ECW had it's run on TNN/Spike, got displaced by RAW, and then WWE came back to USA. (USA=Universal, Spike=Viacom)
For us old schoolers, remember that TV was to sell the gate at the house show. Now, not so much. The gate is fine. The crowd at RAW is basically paying through their gills to be a part of a studio audience. People don't buy the PPV anymore but they'll watch the next show on TV for the fallout if they don't read the sheets.

Ok, so I didn't catch anything past Ziggler/DelRIo/AJCara.
Off to the youtube:
*Cole, STFU. EVen a marky mark understands Henry did what Cena told him too.
*Steph is so hot.
*HHH With the Vince marching band strut. lol
*Vince demanding to be cheered. ARE YOU NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINED?!
*CONTINUITY REFERENCES? IN MY WWE?!
*HHH had the whole company walk out on him when he was in charge and he's talking shit without even mentioning it? Funny.
*"And the woman who's going to have to go home and put up with me." *snicker*
*T-minus 18 months till she's in charge of one of the shows again.
*"Are you people happy?" "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS"
*Who to replace her? There are multiple good choices. I am sure we'll get Laurenitis.
*Oh. Nevermind.
*I'm VERY tentaivley ok with this. Maddox seems swarmy enough.
*So Vicki is angry with Maddox for what the guy she's crying on did. Why do I feel like this happens all the time in real life?
*Oh look, there's Christian. IWC GOES NUTS AS THE LIVE CROWD GOES mild. Face Christian is worst Christian.
*Ok so the Wyatts are coming out.
*Wait. *pauses DailyMotion* So with MCMAHON, Cena, Ziggler/DelRio AND Wyatts done, what exactly are they going to end the show with? Odd. *unpauses DM*
*Girls cheering for creepy Hillbillys who will rape them = UMM-ERICA
*Listen to the marks chant for DB. Oh that's so cute.
* OH MY GOD THEY SMASHED KANES FACE IN WITH THE CURVED PART OF THE STEPS.
*Ryback hugs Vicki. Actually, I would be okay with Ryback being managed by her.
*WOAH. I almost thought they were closing Raw with the Divas. ALMOST.
*AHHHHHH. Forgot about you mutton chops.
*So all Punk has to do to headline Raw is NOT hold the title? FUCK YOU VINCE.
*My kids want me to download Punk's theme on Rock Band 3. "Who's theme is that sweetie?" 8 year old daughter "... Don't remember his name.... he's the best in the world right?" "That's right kiddo."
*So Randy Orton was a big deal during my non-wrestling period. I never saw him when he gave a shit. The last few weeks he seems like a totally different dude. Punk/DB:Bringing out the best in everyone since ever.
*SPEAKING OF WHICH. YES YES YES YES YES. MOAR DB/PUNK ACTION. MOAR
*The PPV actually looks solid. Think I'll give it a watch.

Doing the McMahon segment at the end of H2 going into H3. No. Not trying to pop a number. Not at all. I'm offended you would suggest such a swarmy way of making the 2nd hour look better than it actually would be!! Right. Because you can fudge the numbers. The numbers are the numbers. Bischoff and company never would do something like that either back in the day right? Also Bischoff and Co wouldn;t do it again given the chance this time around either right? There are lots of things to hate Vince about... this is stupid to comment on.

gunnyhighway: DougieAXP : Ed Becker : Senile Vince : seriously, let's figure out why they did this A) because mcmahons oh look I don't have to list any other goddamn options do I Two words: Bonnie Hammer. The Universal higer-ups think having the McMahons on TV is money. seriously? Yup. We are getting this until mania. I am guessing Vince v HHH at the event. WINNER FUCKS STEPHANIE

Smiths: Ed Becker : For us old schoolers, remember that TV was to sell the gate at the house show. Now, not so much. The gate is fine. The crowd at RAW is basically paying through their gills to be a part of a studio audience. People don't buy the PPV anymore but they'll watch the next show on TV for the fallout if they don't read the sheets. I still say RAW should open with a voiceover saying "RAW is filmed before a live, studio audience" that would probably be the closest thing to it being a "TV show" than anything they've done. As much as I love the "All in the Family" reference, at least you get it. Any wrestling on TV in the history of forever has been just that. Quick: Early TV. What were the two most televised things? Wrestling and bowling. Easy to shoot. There would be drama especially when the bowling boom happened in the mid-'50's through the '70's when people would actually bowl and when it was okay to get loaded and drive. All of the wrestling shows on TV way back when were usually taped in studios of the TV station in the main hub of the territory. The boys would do promos that would be cut into the outskirts of the territory to hype the house shows. Usually the boys wouldn't get paid for doing TV, or if they did, it was minimal. That actually went into WWF before the Monday Night Wars where the job guys got $200-$500 per night depending on how many matches they worked and if, say, they'd get a haircut from Brutus Beefcake or if they'd let Jake put the snake on them. The contracted talent would get around $20. Now, with a Raw or Smackdown taping, it's usually a 13k-20k arena. I'll call it an average price of $50 a ticket. Yes. You are paying to be a part of the live studio audience. Same thing with TNA in a sub 10k venue. I'm not shitting on them. Anyways, when WWE comes into town they put on a show. You buy a ticket, you get a show. The worst thing about it is the other fans. If you expect a 4 star match, you are sorely mistaken... SELL... LOOK AT THE CAMERA! FUCK YOU! /btw, they love the catering in Milwaukee //SportsService FTW
