This is so damn smart. WCW never truly take together against the nWo, and that led to their downfall. The WCW wrestlers looked weak and aimless against the nWo for so long that many of them never regained the perception of strength. It took the nWo Wolfpack to successfully defeat the nWo.
Reforming the Main Event Mafia means that they have learned from history, and are going to stand strong against A&8. It also give storylines to the wrestlers not in the BFG Series.

What I love is this is a competitive match. Aries is an ex-World champ, and he's tangling with EY like an equal competitor. For all the comedy he does, EY really is a damn talented wrestler. Holding his own against Aries isn't unexpected with him. |

TNA has tried to bring in former WWE guys to get a legit money maker and it hasn't worked. Home grown guys haven't been able to bring eyeballs and money. Do you think we will see the end of WWE cast offs landing in TNA and do you think they will ever have someone who can draw real big money?

yep. the grunts are realizing more and more they had more "power" before Bully revealed himself. and now that he has, it's "you never ride alone... unless it's for Bully".
BFG is the greatest summer wrestling invention there is. half the "Active" roster (the week-to-weekers) are involved in a months long tournament. the remaining wil have their championship feuds (tag team, x division)... they got a story for the main event even if it is with HOOOOGANNNNN..... and the reality is at the end of the summer if you missed all of it you could tune in and be up to speed in an instant.
It's also very smart of TNA to schedule their biggest event while WWE is holding one of their weakest. October is a dead month for WWE. HIAC is a b-show. Bound For Glory is THE show for TNA. And Summerslam is pretty much always a disappointment.
