I am sure there is a perfetcly logica......
Ok there isn't. There is no logical explanation Ziggles didn't cash in on ADR last night after the duct tape was taken off.
WWE is now finally bordering on TNA levels of idiotic fucking logic.
I swear if I had a Nielsen box in my house I'd not watch either show at this point.
Interacting with Mainland and Japan are really the only reason I keep watching.
/The Summerof Punk was so long ag *Kevin Nash kills my post for no good fucking reason either*

I'd LOVE to enjoy Y2J again dammit... but if all y'all are pissed about The Rock part-timing it, it's hypocritical to suck off Jericho so much. Jericho's like the guy who keeps coming back to work at the McDonalds because he knows it'll get people to go there for a bit and he likes getting the employee discount on McMuffins. Then he leaves on good terms to "do something else" and tells the manager "but if I need to come back for a bit, that's cool right?" The difference is, Jericho wrestled a match this week on Raw, and he'll probably wrestle another next week, and another the week after that. As Punk so eloquently pointed out, Rock's about to go disappear until Elimination Chamber. Also, Jericho didn't win the fucking belt in his first match in 9 months.

Because Jericho never wins a belt anymore. He comes back to give someone a program. He makes the internet happy, but he is not a ratings draw. He's hurt me before. Then again I'm sure I would have loved him during the last run if Vince didn't fuck everyone over because he hates the internet and [supposedly] switched the end of the Royal Rumble because everyone "knew" Jericho would win. The What If of "if Vince didn't go batshit" would have been great. Instead we got Jericho "coming back", trolling everyone, then being a threat... and losing... so he turned into annoying "your daddy an alcoholic!" pest to CM Punk and basically made that entire thing unwatchable. The Rock coming back and winning the belt in his first match is exactly the same as him coming back and winning his Wrestlemania match last year. If you haven't noticed, good guys win, and in the case of two good guys: the "gooder" one wins. Look at house show results, look at RAW. Good guys win. Fans will always be sent home happy. No one pays money to see the Harlem Globetrotters lose. I wasn't aware anybody still paid money to see the Harlem Globetrotters. Much like Cena, their act got stale a long, long time ago.

Pi and I have been seeing ads on TV for the Globetrotters recently, actually.
Ziggler is never going to cash in that case. Never. I was thinking about that the other day actually, and I am surprised they let him have it back after they took it from him the first time. I hadn't thought about Vince simply stating the contract expired, "too bad so sad fuck you" but Smiths is probably right about that. I had been thinking they might do a story where he is "fired" for some reason and take it away that way or something.

To close the loop all they need to do is have him cash in and someone interferes (Ricardo?) before he can get the pin, and both winners lose for the first time ever.

And that's such bullshit too. How does Vince not understand there's more money in a chase? When I was 11-12, Flair won the WWF Title. I had never watched WCW at that point (I started soon after though), and to me, Flair was the outsider. He was the guy who stole the WWF belt, and I wanted Randy Savage to kick his ass and win it back. I dare say that whole angle, from the Royal Rumble, to Flair's Elizabeth pictures, to Wrestlemania VIII made me a fan for life.
That happened because Flair WON. He beat everyone in the Rumble. He held off everyone for three months, and Savage only got him by holding the tights. Flair never once played chickenshit. He was the dirtiest player in the game - you expected him to cheat.
Fucking Vince.

And manager goes "You sell a lot of burgers" And Jericho mumbles "I love the discount, idiot" Trish though? Excellent fucking choice. Deserves it so much. Her Wrestlemania match vs Lita was so awesome. I got so sad when at the end they were so tired from just busting their asses that she botched the Stratusfaction. I felt legit bad for her and you actually heard the crowd audibly like "awwwwwwww". So excellent choice. Lita will induct I'd bet. IT'd be funnier to have Mickie James show up for one night in her old "Trish Outfit" and skip out posing as her at the induction. Bork? $350,000. Guy is a fucking genius for inking that. Now HHH will make it about YOU-UH ATTACKED-UH MY DAD-UH. Family Guy was funny though. Why am I OK with Jericho making his part-time returns? Because he comes in to put over the younger talent. A feud with him as face or heel can really cement a wrestler's reputation. He doesn't want to wrestle full time, but he still enjoys it, has a schedule that allows him to lead a non-wrestling life, and his opponents are better for having faced him.

I was that kid who watched WcW instead of the wwe on Monday nights. I didn't go back full time to the WWE until WCW went off the air. I've had a lot of catching up to do since I missed the attitude era.

DougieAXP: I wonder if Vince legit broke a hip...he deserves it. Keller's reporting that he needs legit hip surgery and that's the vehicle they're using to write Vince off of TV. In other news, I finally got around to reading the thread. Didn't watch a second of Raw this week. Thought the Rumble was good except for the predictability factor. But, face it, WWE and a lot of wrestling is easy to predict if you know the psychology of the business and the companies that present it and their psychologies. The first wizard hat I got from the boys was for the WrestleMania where Pete Rose was in the Chicken costume. I pretty much called that show. Why is WWE so easy to call? They're the Disney of the business. They create moments. They want to send their fans home happy. I kinda thought Punk would go over on Sunday just because the babyfaces went over. You generally don't book a show with all babies or, for that matter, all heels winning. You bring the crowd up and you bring them down. You don't want all heels to go over because that'll piss off those that paid for it and you run the risk of leaving them with a downer. You don't want all babies to go over because you lose heat. You need heat on the heels to make the people give a damn about the babies. It sounds overly basic, but it works. You also have the problem of "too many cooks." There's just too many moving parts with WWE creative. I understand that with TV you have to hit your breaks and cram in as much as you can, which is I won't shit on the "Jobber Entrance." Entrances take away from ring time, in a perfect world. They always get full entrances inside the building, if that means anything. Another thing is the talent. The territories are gone. Yes, a young worker can work plenty of indie dates, but that's not the same as the territories. Then, you worked for the same company for the run, not a different promoter/booker every show. The top guys from the Attitude Era all cut their teeth in territories. Taker, Austin, Michaels, Kane, Foley, Hall, Waltman and then some all cut their teeth in the territories. Fuck, I've seen this in radio. I've been lucky enough to carve out a career in my hometown, but since the Telecom Act of 1996, which was a piece of shit law, the farm system of kids going to a small market to learn their craft has gone the way of the dodo. I was proud of myself a few years ago training a kid to work the board who actually turned out to be decent to my rather demanding standards. He has since gotten out of radio. Anyways, the ability to work the crowd is lost. Shit, very few band front-people can still bring a whole room to the stage. We have to have stunts or run-in's to keep people. And God damn it, music for a run in can go to Hell and die. Okay... rant off.

So I've had to rely on Youtube for that exposure. It made me a giant Bockwinkel mark though.
