Actually, Dean Ambrose is his WWE gimmick. He did the indies as Jon Moxley including some brutal death matches in CZW. Knowing that, I was surprised the E signed him. He must've just done stupid bumps and used the blade sparingly in those matches. They wouldn't sign Steve Corino because his forehead looked like the love child of Dusty Rhodes and Ian Rotten.

You might remember a while back, I think it was around Wrestlemania weekend, where he confronted Mick Foley at some events. He was supposed to be introduced as the anti-Mick, decrying Foley's influence on young wrestlers taking stupid bumps to get over and the effect on his early career.

slamjack: Every time Lil' Naitch is the ref I find it hard to not watch him reacting to every hit instead of the actual wrestling.

That guy sells like a motherfucker.

From what I saw of the show (was at work and was in and out):
- Can we please drop the Cena/AJ/Vickie angle? Please? It's horse shit and tune out all in one.
- Some decent wrestling. I loved how Sandow sold the Brough Kick. Great bump.
- Orton/ADR was good. Predictable, but good.
- I liked the Punk celebration. Paul E. has been gold lately. Mentioning Bruno for the HOF? Was that Vince extending an olive branch or a refreshing acknowledgement of history? I was fine with the Ryback beatdown.
- Aside from King and Cole's respective crutches, the commentary is seeming less forced overall.
- I enjoy drinking beer.

Ryback is talking. Vickie is talking. It's Tensai. Hey, that's a pretty smart way to get Ryback's heat back and not feed the N3XUS to him - have him actually DO his finisher on Tensai. And have him dominate too. Man, Albert shoulda gotten Ryback's gimmick. Ah well, youth movement, right? How old is Ryback anyway? Fuck it, I'm gonna remain blissfully ignorant on that and not look it up.

I wish injuries and/or injury angles would only take place during segments I'm not actively gagging over.

Two-Out-Of-Three-Falls match between Orton and Del Rio. Del Rio going for the "break the arm and get DQ'd, win later" strategy - I like it. Wow, Orton actually sold the arm pretty well through this match for his standards. Cross-Arm Breaker, quick tap from Randy. Y'know, Cole and Lawler being like this, with neither of them all fucking cartoonishly heeling on everything, is actually fucking good. It's better than Tenay and Tazz. Granted, they're both doing what Jim Ross used to do by himself during the Attitude Era (Cole's play-by-play with some references to the history between those in the ring for the most part and whatever recent stuff has happened while Lawler provides cover and some historical references now and then, who knows how many he botches but whatever) but this is fine.

Nice back-and-forth. Good job making the arm the focal point. RKO, well that figures. Good match though. And since it's between two guys who have been all over PPV main events to the point of saturation anyway it doesn't hurt at all to just stick it on RAW and hope for a ratings bump.

Khali vs. fuck this time for a snack.

Miz and Otunga? Man, I like Miz, but WWE just gave me two stinkers after a great match. I'm annoyed. Hey, Otunga's actually working pretty well in this. Okay, you know what? If Otunga can work like that with Miz (who isn't really a match-carrier as far as I can tell) then his ass needs to seriously step it up. This was a way better showing for him than just standing around with a coffee cup. Seriously though, lay off the oil, man.

Time for Sandow to be a victim. Ah well. He got obliterated by DX and survived it. Dude is almost Ziggleresque in how fuckin teflon he is.

AJ goes crazy. And here's Supercena to the rescue. Did they just knock over a bathroom stall? Guess we know where Ziggler's next feud is. Really fucking stupid that he didn't cash in at SS so his first defense (and cementing-him-as-legit victory) could be over Cena. Oh well, they'll either hotshot it on Smackdown or have him win at TLC after Show and Sheamus chairshot each other into oblivion. Maybe.

Everything nice I said about the commentary can just be deleted, okay? And Titus O'Neill is hilariously awful. I did like Serious Darren fro-picking his hair while staring intently at what was happening in the ring. Everything else about this was just dumb filler.

And the celebration goes exactly as I would predict, with Ryback interrupting, N3XUS intervening, Punk feigning(?) innocence. Posing over the fallen Ryback anyway was a nice touch. Would have made more sense if Punk tried to put him out of commission completely with the big man already down and out, since Punk is Mr. Ruthless Bastard Jerkface Will-Beat-You-Up-While-You're-Injured Heart-Attack-Causer. Whatever, predictable doesn't mean bad. I have a bad feeling as to where this will all end up going, but until it happens I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt, for some stupid fucking reason or another.

I probably missed a segment or two in there but whatever. Decent show, actually. This is usually a time where the first teasings of what is usually a few months of a quality product start to show up. They're still in a holding pattern until Rock is back, but they should still have some good stuff for us in-between, if they don't fuck everything up.
