Overall, I thought it was a decent show. Kinda surprised that heels went over back to back to end the show. Ziggles going over shocked me the most. Program with him and the bag shitter? I didn't think they'd put the deal on Ryback, so they had to do something. Was using the NXT guys the best thing? Probably not, but I think it accomplishes a couple of positive things. 1.) Adding new guys to the main roster. I know it's major league hotshotting, but that's what they do. Besides, everybody bitches about how thin the main roster is. 2.) I would think this takes Ryback out of the title hunt. Obviously the new guys are gonna put him over.Let's hope not. If all they're going to do is bring up NXT guys for Ryback to squash between title bouts now, that's gonna get real boring real quick.

You know how Vince is about recycling.

You know how Vince is about recycling. I'd be cool with that. Put Ryback and Cena in an extended program with these guys. Hell, make Punk their leader; you can do a thing about how they're all indie guys who haven't gotten the RESPECT they deserve.

1. I loved Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose getting called up. It is WWE playing the smarks again, but they need these roster additions.
2. WWE's booking is about big moments, not logic, and they're even worse about follow-through. I expect little from this trio until several months down the line, when this moment has been dropped down WWE's memory hole.
3. On that note, WWE's booking lacks in logic but lends to great performances, with big spots, call-backs and solid in-ring storytelling. That was the rule, not the exception last night, even in the divas match. Eve had a great spot where she had Kaitlyn in a head scissors, then rolled her over to beat Kaitlyn's head in the mat. Earlier she punted the back of Kaitlyn's head as a taunt. Divas haven't shown this amount of ring psychology in ages, so this a sure sign of improvement.
A great call-back was Randy Orton setting Ziggler up for the punt. The crowd instantly knew what he was doing, and reacted to it. Even better was Ziggler springing up and hitting the super kick, showing he'd been playing possum and lured Orton in. Another great moment of ring storytelling. Another great call-back was Tyson Kidd's sharpshooter.
Speaking of Kidd, we saw another micropush for him in the opener. They've done this with Kidd several times, giving him little wins and moments, as though they're feeling him out in regards to a real push. That Gabriel and he have upgraded to matching tights is a good sign for the tag division. They excelled last night with great aerials, hitting their spots on cue. That's all that match was too, a showcase of spots for all the guys involved. It was a good opener and got the crowd hot.
I'm still impressed with the divas match. What is usually a dead-silent piss break got the audience interested halfway through, thanks to Kaitlyn capturing early momentum and having Eve begging, but dammit if Eve didn't solidify her place as the top, in-ring female villain.
To me, Survivor Series sums up well what WWE's creative problems are: between the bell, the wrestlers can do great things when they're left the fuck alone. It's everything before and after the bell that's in the pits.

This is the second straight PPV where the Divas had a good match. Last time they even got the smarks chanting "This is awesome." Let AJ actually wrestle, which she is very good at doing, and this could get interesting.
