The whole match was just okay. I wasn't into it. The finish wasn't all that great but I'll take it over yet another, NWO-style run-in. Gallows' promo would've had more weight if Devon had won clean.

I'm expecting Hardy to retain here. Turning Point has been a Holding Pattern. Decent wrestling all around, even from guys I don't expect to deliver it, but for storylines nothing has been revealed or changed all that much, except for AJ losing; however, that was a match stipulation, so somebody was going to do the job in that one.
Upsides so far: the Aces and 8's matches ended clean, the wrestling's been a solid B+ all night, and there's been minor progress on storylines (Building Morgan as a threat, Aces and 8's fingering Angle as their next target, Joe Park foreshadowing Abyss' return); no Hogan except in recaps, no Garrett Bischoff, no Brooke Hogan.
Downsides: AJ's in a hole, booking-wise, I could care less about a Devon-Angle rematch, EY might be on his way out, and there's not a whole lot that makes me curious about Impact this Thursday.

Fuck these companies. eh... it a wrestling company but it also a "weekly episodic television series". so as much as we love wrestling, they have a story to keep going. the two of them going to unify a belt cuz jeff likes his face on a belt cuz he stupid and it dumb is at least "story continues into wrestling" more than "bikers don't like wrestling company". it not super mockworthy considering aries made the "having the REAL belt more worthwhile" since the episode after BFG. you may not like it, but they made it make sense. A pile of shit in my cat's litterbox makes sense too. Doesn;t make it tasty. |
