Team Punk is all "heels who could gain something from Heyman tactics". Team Foley is a bunch of random face-ish wrestlers who have nothing to really gain considering half of them already have belts of their own.

I also like that Orton, who had a bitter feud with Foley a while back during his Legend Killer days, is now Foley's ally and there's no hard feelings or anything. But he respects Orton, because Orton tried to RKO him onto a pile of tacks.

I'm really meh on the WWE product right now. It's overexposed with the 3 hour show. The smart marks aren't gonna pay to see something they'll shit on, which is why the crowds are so marky. Trust me, when I was at the Milwaukee Raw I saw this first hand.
The matches seem to be of the "get your spots in" variety because the fans want to see "the hits." There's nothing going, IMO. Go out, hit your spots, send the people home happy so they buy some gimmicks. The commentary with JR and Cole has been decent, but the show's energy has been lacking which is the fatigue of the 3 hour show. JBL was good on the PPV Sunday.
It's just so goddamned generic. Smarks love Punk, the WWE marks love Ryback. Guess who pays the bills? I guess I equate it to my biz working in radio. I love Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I could go the rest of my life without hearing Stairway or Freebird. At least I can poop or smoke during those songs. I'd rather hear Nobody's Fault But Mine or The Ballad of Curtis Lowe. People still love to hear/see the same shit. Over and over. The people that call the request line usually want to hear Stairway or Freebird or whatever, maybe 10% request a deep cut from an artist that has a great catalog or something totally out of left field.
Ryback sucks as a worker. He's one dimensional. He's been with the company for 8 years. Yes, he's a student of the game. I'll give him that. Neither Developmental nor the indies are a replacement for the territories. Some get it, some don't.
