He has a point. Compared to the pre-Destination X shows, this is a letdown. Still way better than WWE, though.

I'm kind nervous about this Hogan/Sting shit. It's either going to be bad but ignorable, or bad and facepalming bad and leave us begging for them to stop.

Good thing they don't have Cena 1.0 coming out to close the show and overshadow their world title..... what?

After the PPV I suppose anything they did would be a letdown, but that was a pretty "meh" episode. But in my life I've stuck with the WWE through worse so... SeeyounextthursdayonthunderintheImpactZone!

was not a strong episode. BUT again.. better than WWE and for a post-PPV it was what WWE used to be post PPV. set shut up, do some angles, blah blah. still love BFG concept and enjoy live TNA. and better than the crap that is HORNSWOGGLE IS tHE ANONYMOUS GM ALL ALONG It was obvious this episode was geared towards establishing storylines leading into Hardcore Justice and the BFG series.. I'm fine with that, and they've done it before. Establish storylines, a few weeks of strong matches with a money shot at a PPV.. Rinse repeat. What impresses me is that they are 100% completing storylines now though and just not dropping them and acting like they never happened.. The masked men storyline isn't captivating (yet?) but I like how they are playing it out over weeks and doing a slow burn with it.

Okey dokey, all done at the bar, got me a drink. I thought Impact was weak compared to their recent offerings, but still halfway decent.
What I liked: - I had my reservations going into the Joseph Park deal, but I'll be damned if it isn't one of the most entertaining and well executed angles in a while. It's not being hotshotted. They're letting it breathe. Bubba Ray might be the best heel in the business right now. Chris Parks is absolutely brilliant in this gimmick. I don't know how many workers are able to turn off the "worker portions" of their brains when they're out there. Parks carrying himself as a non wrestler when he's brother Joseph is awesome. I'm enjoying the shit out of this angle. - The BFG series has been fun. RVD winning surprised me. Joe going for the submissions biting him in the ass was a neat wrinkle. Angle/Anderson was decent. I'm still waiting for a draw. This is another good thing that has a nice, long arc that puts emphasis on what happens between bells, even making house show matches matter. - Crazy Bobby Roooooooooooooooo was entertaining as hell. Very Flair-ish. I was waiting for him to drop an elbow on his coat. Aries has really delivered lately. His shushing of the people might be one of the few times I can think of when a worker actually gets the people to settle down. I would expect Aries to go over clean next week with more Rooooooooooo craziness ensuing. - The KO's match was good. Tess has really improved over the last 6 months and Kim is really good. Brooke was distracting but not horrible but added nothing to the match. - If they're doing an angle between Sorensen and Zima, I'm hoping that Jesse's prognosis is for a full recovery where he'll be back in the ring. Or is it all a work? As far as neck injuries go, they can heal. One of the top guys in the promotion I was involved with was Skullkrusher Rasche Brown. He was involved in a bad traffic wreck in the late '90's where, if memory serves he was on a motorcycle and was hit by a van. He wore a halo for a while. He was told he would never wrestle again. Guess again.
What I didn't like: - The whole Claire thing. Silly. Look, I understand the whole Abyss/Joseph Park deal is totally outside the realm of any kind of logic. But it's being executed so well. The pregnancy angle is bad in the fact that you have someone thrust into a program with 3 of the best workers in the company but the 4th wheel is flat. Why would a pregnant woman with addiction issues get into a ring? Shouldn't she be in some kind of rehab, nursing herself to health and keeping herself away from stress for babby's sake? - Goddamn ninjas. Good Christ. That was bad and not needed. I'm afraid there's gonna be a faction reboot. It's Bischoff's main play. IMO, let's leave the factions lie. In TNA we have some good wrestling. Over the last few weeks I forgot that EB was still there.

Nope, not bad count considering (I'll admit it) we're still probably in a "should we post here, or there" conundrum. I did light multiposting.
TNA isn't bad and hasn't been for a while and now that they are trying and the storylines are consistent and actually finished I can keep interest in the actual storylines which while some are bad, others are down right awesome.
TNAs biggest problem with getting people to watch is getting over the stereotype that it's a retirement home for Hogan and Bischoffs WCW clique. Yes, it used to be that way and that old way is how a lot of people think it still runs. The "revolution" started back when they first handed Bobby Roode the title belt and it's been a slow, but progressive burn to where they are at now.. When they fired Russo their progression speed up tremendously though. They have to some how really hammer home that the "Hogan Stereotype" isn't true anymore.. I see so many people who refuse to watch and usually Hogan is the first name out of their mouth.
