so when do you have a Heart Attack and I get a t-shirt featuring your name?
My Shop-Fu skills are to weak to make a good mark-up.

And another thing: a bunch of wrestlers with weapons and who commit kidnapping goes right outside the credulity window. All I can think of is, "Why the fuck didn't anyone call the fucking cops?! They're holding a guy against his will, and they're bargaining for a wrestling match out of it?!"
Fuck you, TNA.

I really cannot wait for BFG. They way they've been booking this summer, and hell, digging back to before last year's BFG, there should be some damn great matches and fights.

Goddamned football and work have been interfering with my wrestling or pasteurized processed wrestling product viewing lately. They don't cut into my drinking and opining, though. Random thoughts on Impact:
- The opening 3-way seemed decent. Pretty formulaic booking half of the tag 3-way for TV, although I'd expect that in the go-home Impact not 3 Impacts prior to the PPV. I love how they're using Daniels. Perfect weasel-ass heel.
- When I saw Garrett in the running for the TV Title the old "One of These Things is Not Like the Other" song went through my head. I thought they'd put the deal on Kenny. It's a perfect role for him at the top of the mid-card, which is where I think he fits in on the TNA landscape. He's a good worker, but injury prone. I'm not shitting on them at all for putting it on Joe. Perhaps they're doing this to build him back into the title mix.
- The main was fun for the formulaic booking of teaming the guys who will face each other in a few weeks. The biggest FAIL, IMO, was no one mentioned, at least as far as I remember, was that both heels were members of 2 of the greatest tag teams of the last 10 years. This would've brought more to an already fun match. Taz and Tenay did do a good job of putting over tag team theory, however. Bully Ray is one of the most entertaining guys in the business right now. Roode is an awesome heel.
- Aces and 8's are the part of the show I just give a Man Mountain Rock WTF shrug to. I usually dig biker gimmicks. Shit, I loved the Long Riders in the AWA. But, sorry, this is doing nothing for me. This is in Claire Lynch territory for me. But, even when I was a mark kid there were portions of wrestling shows or gimmicks that made me roll my eyes. I guess I need to hit the switch in my brain for A/8's stuff.
- I like the streetfight stipulation to Storm and Roode. I would not want to follow that match.
- Kinda weird Impact as it seemed like more of a go-home show. Yeah, the go-home show is in a few weeks. Made me go Hmmmm.

did your stream not feature the TMNT thing? it was hilarious. 9:20PM in the middle of a wrestling show where they're having people pepper-sprayed and abducted they go "and TMNT will be on Nickelodeon!" and went to like a minute long (or 2 minute long) clip of fucking TMNT cartoon with them eating pizza. was so fucking tripping balls moment. Also: jimfromsaintpaul: *Ok, SO WHY WOULD THE VOICE OF THE SONS OF JARRETT GUY STILL BE AUDIO DISTORTED IF THEY ARE IN THE SAME ROOM? that wasn't the leader. it was just a guy sitting with back to them. I like to go "he had a speaker on his lap and real leader was speaking and it was being relayed" God do i have to think of everything? If you're going though the trouble of abducting and raping a lawyer, you do shit to still mask voice. maybe it's like a BANE mask. SHUT UP I LIKE IT MORE THAN SHIT RAWBERGBACK. Smiths, even the first guy they talked to after being abducted looked at both of them and had the modified voice.

Everything but, Hogan, Hogan with boobs (yes id hit it), Sons of Jarrett and GutCheck is better then the WWE lately. Problem is they compose at least half of the show every week.

I don't mind the Gut Check segments so much. The only issue is that it has the Tough Enough problem -- you see these guys "achieve their dream", and then never see them again.

SO what qualifies TheFatGuyWhoAteTaz, Brother Love and Al Snow to evaluate talent? I mean even using wrestling logic, who the heck are they? Is there 1 intercontinental title between all 3(why no, I don't count ECW titles personally)? Hardcore titles abound I guess.

TV Show. Joey Ryan "lost" cuz of them and i'm pretty sure he's getting some form of a Paycheck... oh and a PPV match. What qualifies Vince McMahon to rate talents? What championships has he fought for? I USE LOGIC AGAINST YOU but i do agree but at same time i take it to mean every one of those contestants at least got a paycheck and a TV segment to add to their tape. Wrestling logic suggests that once upon a time, Vince firgured out how to make things popular and pushed his company to the moon popularity wise. Now we ALL know that Vince is long past being able to do that again. He at least played a major part in it once. TFGHAT, Brother Love and Al Snow have done NOTHING. NOTHING to suggest their opinions should be valid to the wrestling public. Brother Love was a manager that, while hated, is more remembered for being quite "red" in the face when he was angry/flustered, then the people he managed. Taz is more well known for Stone Cold ripping him during the invasion angle then anything else. Al Snow is known for having a theme song that mentioned oral sex and for that, he was the most over of the 3. His mannequin head and theme song were FAR more over then him. Frankly, the first version of Gut Check had Hogan and Flair as a part of it and THAT I could have got behind. For as much as I bitch about Hogan, He's been on top a few times and at least has a clue what it feesl like to have 20,000 give a damn about him night-in-night-out.

Here's the last time I had this kind of argument wth someone:
Other person: "Jim, you should really see 'The Passion of the Christ', it's really good."
Me: "I'm sure that it makes a point with being graphic. I just can't get over who made it."
OP: "What do you mean?"
Me: "Mel Gibson made it. What does he know about being a Christian? What does he know about Jesus Christ?"
OP: "Why does that matter, if it gets the message out?"
ME: "Because the guy who provided the message of "remember that Jesus died on the cross for you" starred in the Leathal Weapon movies. He has show nothing before this film to suggest he is any kind of "expert" on this subject. WHY should I listen to Gibson's point of view on Jesus Christ?
OP: ... "Well the film is still good".
ME: "I'm sure it is."
*WHAT DOES AL SNOW ABOUT ABOUT BEING ANYTHING BUT A SLIGHTLY SUCESSFUL MIDCARDER?
/this was all before he was outed as the jew hater and such too //yes Smiths', I just compared you to a Jesus freak

"It's a segment on a TV show" would be believable to me as a thought process if the WWE was given the same free pass by internet smarks. They're not. Personally I hate shows that do shit that strains whatever logic that show has tried to establish. Lets have tri-corders turned into phasers!
GC judging makes no logical sense. Wrestling established logic or the real stuff. Put Hogan on THAT segment and get rid of him as a GM and you go a long way towards getting me to care.
