Belly to back suplex off the rope in to a pin but both men had their shoulders down so it's a draw.

Best PPV of the year for the WWE.
Loved the ending. both guys looked great, no one looked weak.
8/10. Only PPV that was better was TNA's one where AA won the title. That one is still the best of the year so far for both companies.

It keeps the feud going and keeps both men looking strong. But it is deeply unsatisfying to have a PPV end on a draw.

And Punk kicked out of a bunch of finishers also. I just hate how Cena barely worked that match. He really can't wrestle.. Ok the suicide dive was neat to see but other than that?? It was your typical Cena gets beat on for XX amount of time and miraculously springs to life to either get beat back down or win the match.
Look at the first ending of the match. Soon as the three count ended he was jumping around and getting out of the ring like he just snorted a line of blow off a hookers ass. Punk carried him 95% of that match.

problem is, it's a feud that doesn't need to continue. Closest Cena has come to beating Punk in the last 300 days was tonight, and that was a draw. He's lost every other time. While Cena may be desperate to regain the belt, Punk gains nothing from continuing the feud. All it does is keep the Nearly-Main-Eventers, people like Ziggler and Rhodes, from advancing in the company. Just like Punk was right when he said that guaranteeing Rock/Cena for Wrestlemania meant that nobody else could main event no matter what they did, that's what you get by keeping Cena in this feud. As long as he keeps going after Punk, nobody else will have the chance. And then Rock will win the title at Royal Rumble just so Cena can win it at Wrestlemania. Not if, but when that happens, Cena will be fed any number of up and coming heels, bury them, and blindly keep toeing the party line.

You could say that for anyone that cena wrestles. I'm fine with the dusty finnish. Keeps punk in thenfinale which means better match to end show. This is all drunken logic. Was excited when there was dusty finish, vodka won't elt me for compleet thoughtx. Will respond when sobre

Alright... Some beers and an empty bar later, my thoughts in no particular order:
- Got in during BagShitter/Ziggler. Solid, decent match. Seemed to have a decent match time. Orton as a babyface does nothing for me. I just don't get it. It's not that they use canned heat for him either. At the Milwaukee Raw he got one of the top 5 babyface pops of the night. Orton getting the win didn't surprise me in the least. I find it kinda depressing that with somebody as over as Randy is, the only way I care about the match is his opponent.
- Eve/Layla was okay for what it was.
- If I can make a Glenngarry Glen Ross reference, they should call Ziggler "The Closer."
- Sheamus/ADR was decent. These are also two guys that I'm really "meh" on. I liked that they kept it between the two with no shenanigans really from the Otunga and Ricardo. This probably means that Ricardo is taking a Foley bump at HIAC. Good job teasing the kick, great psychology with ADR working the arm. Basic stuff is solid when well executed.
- As Cena'ed-out as I am, I enjoyed every minute of the main. Good back and forth, both guys giving each other everything they had but it was never enough. No outside bullshit. Heyman was perfect whenever they cut to him. Punk didn't even really heel on Cena 'til the belt shot after the match. I'll come back to that in a bit. I was fine with the finish. Cena keeps his heat and Punk builds his. My nightmare ending was seeing AJ skip down the runway and restarting the match with Cena going over. In kayfabeville, the ref made the right call and Punk braining JC with the belt cemented that they couldn't do a restart. BTW, Cena Tweeted that he rolled his left ankle early in the match.
- From some of the reports of the show, JBL will be filling in for Lawler until he comes back. I enjoyed the shit out of him tonight. It also seemed that Vince wasn't screaming in their headsets as much, but that was probably to help JBL ease back in which made it even more obvious when Vince chimed in. I thought JBL and Cole sounded good together. Arena reports say he got polite applause from the crowd during arena introductions. Cole isn't bad when he's not doing that goddamned forced heel announcer schtick. IMO, the main PxP guy should be neutral to mildly baby.

Update: After a nice mellow night at the bar, cooked some food, watched the PPV after my radio duties, enjoyed what I saw, had a few after hours... I go downstairs for ice and the fucking hallway is flooded with sludge. Pissed beyond words, I am. I think I have it diagnosed down to the urinals that share that wall. Damn it, Jim. I'm a radio/bar/wrestling guy. Not a plumber.
Protip: If you own a bar, don't cheap out on the fucking plumbing. It will bite you square in the ass.
/Back to cleaning. //Fuck.

Hey, I'm on the "bored with Cena as main eventer" thing too. I mean, was by bit for almost a year NOT being in CeNation?
That being said, Punk walked out looking stronger then he did coming in. If Cena can kick out of 2 finishers, you better damn well have your champ do it too.
Will be DVRing Raw. Won;t be home for the first hour and then may just play Madden or FF 13.
Again, a night to sleep on it and even the damn DIVA'S match was acceptable. Not one dud last night. Wish they would do this EVERY month.

See, I hated the way Cena took the finishers. He either shrugs them off or he's "out cold" because the guy can't sell. Then he goes Super Cena and doesn't show any of the ill effects of moves that are supposed to end fights.
I was OK with a draw, although to suddenly start noticing that that particular pin has both men down is bogus. I'd have rather it end with a double count out or something like that.

I think I have it diagnosed down to the urinals that share that wall.Update: Plumber came in and nailed it in 15 minutes. There was a blockage one in the men's room pipes that forced the poo-water up through the drain for where the ice machine was years ago (in that hallway, it's been replaced with a bigger one downstairs. I had forgotten about this and the drain pipe (just open fucking pvc on the floor) was covered by the toilet brush holder so I didn't even notice this. Still, don't cheap out on plumbing or maintenance. I had the inkling that something was up as it smelled like death in there, but instead we had to wait for a recreation of the Beverly Hillbillies opening but with bubblin' poo instead of crude. And for the record, I poop in the girls' room after hours so it wasn't me.
